Infoboxes on nationality articles
[edit]Hi, the {{Infobox legislation}} you are adding to nationality articles is incorrect:
- The nationality law has a different source in each country; in some cases it may come from articles of the constitution, in others from a single law, in still others from a succession of unrelated laws. In each of those countries those laws will have their own name; writing "[Country] Citizenship Act" and "A Law Relating to [Country] Citizenship" on every single article is wrong. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 01:59, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- The "enacted" field of the legislation is intended to link to a specific session of the legislature
- Not every country calls its legislature "Parliament of [Country]"
For an example of a good {{Infobox legislation}}, see Civil Rights Act of 1968. Regards, 59.149.124.29 (talk) 01:59, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your edit. It was a good one. Regards, Eileintuinici (talk) 02:02, 13 October 2017 (UTC)
Non-free image use
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically List of passports, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:16, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
October 2017
[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at George Saunders. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Operator873CONNECT 01:39, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
Catalan passport listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Catalan passport. Since you had some involvement with the Catalan passport redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. Scolaire (talk) 10:54, 24 October 2017 (UTC)
ArbCom 2017 election voter message
[edit]Hello, Eileintuinici. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
