If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bev Nelson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article William Whitaker (equestrian) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of William Whitaker (equestrian)

[edit]

Hello Eggmanjames,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged William Whitaker (equestrian) for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Little Boy Soldiers

[edit]

Firstly, read our notability criteria for songs and show some evidence that it meets them.

Secondly, cite the article to reliable sources. That does not mean online lyrics databases; it means content written by real journalists or music critics and published in real media, like newspaper articles, magazine articles or books. The sources also cannot represent Paul Weller talking about his own song in the first person; they must represent third parties writing or talking about it in the third person — and there must be several such sources, not just one or two.

A song does not get its own standalone article as a separate topic, but rather just gets mentioned in the track listing of its associated album, if you cannot do both of those things. Bearcat (talk) 16:17, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine, i'll find the source from Weller, just hold the deletion, give me at the most a week if you may.

A source "from Weller" won't help. Please note the comment I just added above — a source only supports notability if it represents third parties, such as critics or journalists, analyzing its significance independently of anything Weller says about his own work in the first person. The notability test hinges on independent analysis of its significance, not just on what its own creator says about his own work in his own words. Bearcat (talk) 16:23, 17 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(talk) that'll be impossible to do, as the song is widely not well known, is there another alternative?
