Beyonce

Sorry, but it's a well known fact among african-americans that beyonce only wears wigs and weaves in public. (Check the comments on any Beyonce-related topic on concreteloop.com). It's just not widely known among the general population.

That picture (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Beyonce-039-s-Weave-Is-Falling-Apart-41959.shtml) is PROOF that she at least sometimes wears a wig. (which everyone knows for a fact she does all the time, because her real hair is short and thin from years of chemical lightening and straightening.) http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4815/1381/1600/0jojgfi1.jpg http://mediatakeout.com/Exclusives/Beyonce_Weave.html

As for the issue of her taking credits for songs she didn't write, its completely relevant so I don't know what you think youre doing by removing that from the article.

Nathan86 (talk) 04:04, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

The interview is valid and IS on a third party site, so don't remove it again.

As for her hair, I haven't yet found a "reliable" source for it; but when I do I'll put it back up; because, as you can clearly tell from the above pictues, the hair she is usually seen with is FAKE. Nathan86 (talk) 10:36, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

It's a FAN SITE you moron. And I didn't say what Fats said is true (although it IS); I just said that's what he said WHICH HE DID. Are you like a paid employee of the knowles family or something? Because I can't conceive any possible way sopmeone could be so stupid otherwise.

And all those links about Irreplaceable were SOURCED so you removing them constitutes VANDALISM. Nathan86 (talk) 03:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

It's not the opinion of a site owner, it's what Fats said. Nathan86 (talk) 03:28, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Again how is it not reliable? It is an archived interview from 2004. Nathan86 (talk) 03:37, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Again, it is an ARCHIVED INTERVIEW. It's not the opinion of the site owner. Your precious Beyonce steals credit fro songs she didn't write. Get over it. Nathan86 (talk) 03:43, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Hey, those parts are from another GA article (Dictator Novel) I think the reference was added to that article but they didnt privide inlines, so I'm going to try and find the right reference and copy it over, if not we'll cut the text. Acer (talk) 12:13, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Unusual Edit Summaries

I like making my edit summaries (which I find redundant sometimes on talk pages, but I understand) a little more "interesting." I think I made it a little too obvious by ending with "reader" instead of adding more gibberish to the end. Oh well, it was past midnight (I think), and I was giddy to open a bottle of wine. :) Cheers, Kodster (Willis) (Look what I can do) 14:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

DYK

Updated DYK query On 22 April, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Heart to Yours, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Cheers, Daniel (talk) 01:12, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

GA

Your nomination passed. Well done. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 02:15, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome, I'm glad I took the time to review the article. Is there a way I can get you to review an article? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:14, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Sure, I can explain. I was asking if you can review an article at WP:GAN. Can you or not? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:04, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
That's cool. I just wanted to ask if you would be interested in reviewing one or not. Thanks, though. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:09, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
OMG, I was like that too. But, I got hooked in reviewing articles. B'Day became very lucky. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I was going to review it, but I saw that the article was long and stuff. If the article has grammatical problems, it would be a good idea to get them before someone reviews the article and maybe fails it, because of that. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:30, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's a good idea. If the article is getting copy-edits and stuff, then its bound to become a GA. Have you considered working on Jay-Z's article? --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:46, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Wow, I'm shocked that it hasn't come to mind. ;) Anyways, if you would like a GA review for Beyoncé related, as the one I did for B'Day, hit me up and we'll see what happens. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 03:57, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

B'day edit

Great job dude!!! Oh BTW there is no source that says her worldwide record sales, yet people from mysterious IP addresses have been constantly re-editing them in order to inflate them. I'm getting sick of changing it lol. Any suggestions? PhoenixPrince (talk) 02:42, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Beyonce (again)

Do you agree with this? --InDeBiz1 (talk) 15:07, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

"Touch Me I'm Sick" peer review

I plan on taking this seminal song to FAC in a couple of days. Feedback/suggestions/complaints at peer review would be welcome. Thanks, indopug (talk) 20:09, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

You might want to review InDeBiz's Beyonce copy-edit; mainly, reincorporate Jbmurray's and others' copy-editing back in to the article. As of now, jbmurray's work has been erased by that page blanking. Why is that awful pic where she isn't even facing the viewer nor can you make out what she looks like back?? indopug (talk) 13:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

GA Review: Beyonce

I have changed the nomination's status to Second Opinion, as after reading the article a few more times, I am unsure whether or not it does meet the Good Article Criteria, and so have requested for another reviewer to take a look at it and make the final decision. JayJ47 (talk) 06:45, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

RE: Beyonce copy edits

Not a problem! Just one thing to remember, though... the most common mistake that I'm having to correct is your placement of periods and commas. Remember, they go inside the quotation marks, not outside.  :) I should have my revisions done shortly, so if you see a page blanking of that article pop up in your watchlist, don't freak out, it's just me and I'll have my revision re-inserted momentarily. --InDeBiz1 (talk) 06:58, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Great, I get to have another MoS argument. Per proper English grammar, they are included inside quotation marks. --InDeBiz1 (talk) 07:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Sure. As soon as I'm done exams, which would be this Friday. By the way, congrats on "Irreplaceable". It reads great. Orane (talk) 21:49, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

Citing sources

Hi there. I wanted to contact you before I reverted your edit. Why was the source from the introduction of the article removed? ([1]) I don't know of any new decision to put sources only in the body of the article. As far as I know, sources are very important in the introduction. Many people don't even read articles in their entirety, so the bold claims in the introduction need adequate support (even if the point is sourced in the body of the article). Orane (talk) 03:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. But as a word of caution, it's not necessarily what you think is "fine"; it's what should be done. Leads aren't normally "left clean". They are a part of the article and should be sourced along with the rest of it, especially because it contains claims that are likely to be challenged. All the articles I've been involved with have sources in the lead, I've seen articles rejected at FAC because of lack of sourcing, and I have opposed articles for lack of sourcing —yes, despite the information being sourced in the rest of the article. Maybe you should get a second opinion. Ask another editor if they think the lead should be sourced or not. If they say it's fine to leave it clean, then I'll move on. Orane (talk) 04:15, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Sure. No problem :). Orane (talk) 04:32, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh I forgot. Sorry. Gimme some time. Its past my bedtime now lol. I'll write my comment and continue editing tomorrow. Orane (talk) 04:51, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Hhaha. Thankx. By the way, what time is it there? Orane (talk) 05:01, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Good job

Well done on the beyonce article. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 05:03, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Go for it, best of luck. Realist2 ('Come Speak To Me') 13:16, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments; I have replied. dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 09:31, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Please revisit this fac to conform with the instructions at WP:FAC; caps must have sigs so I can know who capped the comments. Without sigs, the only way for me to know if the issues are resolved is to step through the diffs, which is too time consuming. If caps don't have a sig and time/date stamp, I'll remove them. Thanks, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:23, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. Its done. --Efe (talk) 03:06, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: "Baby Boy"

(copied over from my talk page:) Thanks. Sorry I took a while getting back to you, but I did just do some copy-editing. I think the article is a little uneven: some sections are absolutely fine; in others, I found a number of awkward phrases and even grammatical mistakes. Good luck as you continue to work on it! --jbmurray (talkcontribs) 11:12, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Moving Mountains

You're aware that there is another song of that same title with an article here on WP, correct? The original article title was specificly (sp??) noted as "Usher song" because of the other song. I've tried to move it back, but we'll need an administrator to do it... --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 16:19, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Strike comment about admin being required. I've moved it back. Best regards, --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 16:29, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

RfA

Out of curiousity, are you ready to make another run at RfA? I'm more than interested in nominating you. --InDeBiz1 Review me! / Talk to me! 05:09, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the edit...I was wondering if you could take a look at its peer review? (Link on talk page)...thanks heaps, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 11:19, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Welcome. I actually saw your request at Burningclean's talk page and I directed to the article and skimmed through and fix a very little detail. =) Sure. I already copied the article and be reading it at home. Hopefully, I can make good comments. --Efe (talk) 11:27, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Dangerously in Love

We meet again. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 20:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Yah. I actually did not forget your reminder about hitting your talk page whenever I have Beyonce-related articles on GAN. I saw you on the project page busy reviewing some and so I did not inform you. BTW, Destiny's Child is also a nominee. --Efe (talk) 02:55, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Dude, don't hesitate to leave me a message about me reviewing articles, besides I'll be happy to do it. I passed Dangerously in Love, congrats, and I will see you in a couple of days, cause I'm gonna review Destiny's Child. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 19:28, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Thank you so much. --Efe (talk) 03:15, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
You're welcome and please call me Blue. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Just wanted to let you know that I gave Destiny's Child a review. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 02:01, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, you lazy person. ;) Anyways, you have another GA in your midst, congrats. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 18:42, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I know, I know. Again, any article you need reviewing, just hit me. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:59, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I'll see what I can do. ;) --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 01:05, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

I put this article up for GA, its rather good and while on hold we could make the changes needed, i looked at the edit history afterwards and realised you had been editing it. Maybe would would like to help me with the results of the review. --Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 21:02, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

I think we need to expand the lead, im sure that will be brought up in the lead. Just overview the article. Thoughts? Do you want to keep this discussion to the articles talk page? --Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 03:40, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Sure, ill sort the lead later today (its late where i am), would you give your thoughts on the madonna reassessment. I put it up for re-review as i no longer think its GA worthy. Id appreciate your input. --Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 05:24, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, read the reassessment, there is a link to it on the talk page, even the original reviewer wants it removed. Cheers Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 05:33, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

If you are interested in setting up a Janet Jackson wikiproject please go to the Janet Jackson talk page and sign on. Cheers. Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 00:44, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Well done, lol, i was fast asleep when that happened. --Realist2 (Come Speak To Me) 15:11, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Efe, thanks for reviewing Heaven Up Here to be a GA. I've made most of the changes you've suggested. However, there are some that I don't fully agree with and I've given my reasons on the article's talk page. Be sure to drop by and let me know your thoughts. Thanks again --JD554 (talk) 13:21, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks very much! It was a lot harder work than I ever imagined, but with your's and Indopug's help it got there in the end. Thanks again --JD554 (talk) 08:37, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey

its been a long time; direct sourcing is only needed after quotes such as : X said, "Y is such a control freak!" At the end of that you need a ref to check if the wording of the quote is exact. Otherwise its not a big deal; one cite at the end of a para is understood to cover the whole para. (I've seen thjis brought up at FAC many times) indopug (talk) 09:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

My copy-edit is more or less done, I was hoping he could create a small Music/Themes section with the source I provided. Its pretty important to discuss the Music in some detail for comprehesiveness (esp when there is a very reliable source.) indopug (talk) 10:24, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks

Dorothy the Dinosaur (and me) have given you this beautiful rose in appreciation for your assistance in getting The Wiggles to FA-status. Yoo hoo! and Good on ya, mate! --Figureskatingfan (talk) 03:42, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

Quick question

On this... as that is their official one, it wouldn't be OK? I put it up as it has non-copyright violation music videos of theirs. rootology (T) 06:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Oops! Just add the external link, not the stub template. --Efe (talk) 06:39, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Ah, ok, I'll put it back. I forgot to take off the stub template before... rootology (T) 06:40, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
No problem. Im just wondering about their recording history. Its a short one; where in fact they have released over five albums. --Efe (talk) 06:43, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for catching that, I fixed it. I'd accidentally left off their first album from that section. rootology (T) 06:49, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 10:38, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Arise article

Thank you for suggestions on the Arise (album) article. What is the deadline for making all those edits you suggested? I'd like to better up this article as soon as I can, but I'm going to have tough week on my job... Musicaindustrial (talk) 11:48, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

How about two weeks instead of one? Musicaindustrial (talk) 16:11, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
I've finished the edits on the Arise (album) article. Please review it again. Musicaindustrial (talk) 14:04, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
