Will you please tell me why you deleted my text on the Wikipedia web page I created for Larry Chaney? I spent a lot of hours on it. I included a listing of Fan Site Links. This is quite common on musicians websites, and certainly appropriate. Check out some of the musicians pages on Wikipedia already that I have listed below. ALL of them have an area of their Wikipedia pages that includes fan site links; do these all need to be deleted? You will find FAN SITE LINKS on most every successful musician's Wikipedia pages.

I would appreciate an answer, and I hope you will check the history page and put the links back in. Many people check out Wikipedia to find the artists they enjoy. They subsequently like to go to the fan sites to meet other fans, find current tour information, learn about new music not yet updated here on Wikipedia, etc. It's good information to include on musicians.

Put them back if you want. I thought they were excessive per WP:EL and WP:NOT. Personally, I think fan site links are not useful and should not be included in an encyclopedia, but I also know that attempting to improve any music related articles in WP is a waste of my time. And using the "But Mom, the other articles have links" argument for music, or any other edit discussion, doesn't add much value. My edit was not aimed at you personally, as no one WP:OWNs any articles. Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:Edwin McCain Nomadic Logic.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Edwin McCain Nomadic Logic.jpg and also as Image:Nomadic logic cassette art-1-.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

Speedy deletion of Larry Chaney

A tag has been placed on Larry Chaney requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
