Redirection of Collector's Edition

[edit]

Hi, I redirected The Adventures of Captain Underpants: Collectors' Edition to The Adventures of Captain Underpants. There really isn't a need for a separate article here. A short section in The Adventures of Captain Underpants would be appropriate; you should add that to the article! Thanks, Darkspots (talk) 14:18, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you characterized my redirection as vandalism. That's not particularly polite! I explained my actions to you here. Also, please check out WP:OWN. Darkspots (talk) 10:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Captain underpants

[edit]

I see you removed the speedy deletion template I placed. On closer look, I do have to say I was off base on it. The silly title (a hallmark of vandalism or sometimes of completely appropriate children's entertainment) threw me off. I offer my apology to you. At the same time, please do know that it's generally wrong for you to remove db templates on articles you have created yourself. If my db template was appropriate, I'd be in a position where I'd feel the need to warn you and on and on. Of course, it's totally understandable why you did what you did in this case and there was certainly no harm done by you. Erechtheus (talk) 01:46, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I really can't as I'm not sure what the release dates or sales are. I can say that you're going to need some sort of reliable source for the articles, though. Good luck. Erechtheus (talk) 04:09, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Editing this page

[edit]

Hi, I think you're asking about editing this page. You can edit this page like any other; removing comments from other users is certainly permitted; you are encouraged to archive those comments and your own. See WP:ARCHIVE for more details on how to archive. Best, Darkspots (talk) 16:27, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The All-New Captain Underpants Extra-Crunchy Book o' Fun 3

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The All-New Captain Underpants Extra-Crunchy Book o' Fun 3, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Darkspots (talk) 16:44, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As I replied on your IP page....

WP:OWN. They were redirected because they contained nothing more than the differences and a list of system requirements for the included disc. Rau's Speak Page 10:17, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirection

[edit]

Hi. Just wanted to explain that Rau J and I have redirected these articles because they are about a new edition of a book, and we simply don't have separate articles about different editions of books. Even for a monumental work of literature like In Search of Lost Time, different, highly significant editions are discussed in the main article about the novel.

Additionally, I'd like to call your attention to Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. What this means is that we editors have to make decisions about what is encyclopedic and what is not. The system requirements for playing the CD-ROM, for instance, were not encyclopedic. The encyclopedic features of these collector's editions could be contained in a short paragraph. Thanks, Darkspots (talk) 12:38, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, pertaining to the original comment you left on my talk page, editors do not own the articles they edit. It is policy, WP:OWN. Hell, I wish I owned the articles I edited. And I don't really know Darkspots, I just asked him for some advice. Rau's Speak Page 10:30, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, you technically do not own the pages. You are just a contributor to those pages. No one owns any wikipedia pages. Read WP:OWN. Rau's Speak Page 10:34, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets: Collectors' Edition has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks.
