[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Ross Kolby, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist.(talk) 12:33, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Materialscientist Hi! Yes, I see that you removed all of my editing. Are you thinking of the part where I mention the historic persons in Kolby's book? I have read the book, and thought it would be of interest to mention this. But as the novel is not online, how may I cite this content in the book? I see that you also removed the new headings I inserted about Kolby's paintings. I thought it was informative to add new headings for the diffirent types of paintings. Why do you disagree on that? Now it is one big block of text, and I thought the new headings made it easier to read. You also removed the reference I added to the unveiling of the painting in the Nidaros Cathedral. That was a link to an article at the Norwegian National Broadcaster NRK. Is that not a reliable source? I see you have lots of experience and I am all new to this but I spent quite some time on the 27 edits and now I see you have removed them all. Also all changes to the language and text. Was it all wrong, you find? I sincerely hope you will agree on some of the work, unless I do not really know why I would invest time in an article if all I do is removed. I really did think I made an improvement. Best wishes, EditNor (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- Materialscientist Hi! I would be grateful if you could let me know what was wrong with my several edits and what source you found not to be reliable? I liked working on the article, and I of course wish to to things right. I am grateful for your watching of the page and informing me of your undoing of my edits, but I need to know what I have done incorrectly so I can edit according to Wikipedia's standards. It is also important for me to avoid that a lot of time and work spent on an article is removed just minutes after I did it. So I hope you may inform me a bit more. Best wishes, EditNor (talk) 11:28, 13 January 2021 (UTC)
- Materialscientist Hi! I wish to insert this reference in the Ross Kolby article: https://www.nrk.no/trondelag/symboltungt-maleri-avduket-i-nidarosdomen-1.13219435. This is a reference from the Norwegian National Broadcaster NRK. Is this article acceptable as a reliable source? As it shows both the painting mentioned in the text and the Cathedral the artwork was unveiled in I think it is a very illustrative reference. But I do not want to insert it before asking you. Would this be OK with you? Best wishes, EditNor (talk) 11:42, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
