Generally, you cannot use text from an official website without breaking their copyright on it. I had to tag the articel as a copyright infringement, but if you rewrite it, please use your own words and just cite the official website. This will prevent any possibility of infringements. 68.39.174.238 00:05, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- If you are the copyright holder of the text on the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina website, you can submit it here if you release the text under the terms of the GFDL. That can be done either by a note on the website or by e-mail, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission and Wikipedia:Example requests for permission. Note that the content must be free for commercial re-use by others under the terms of the GFDL.
- Another problem is that content from the website is very likely going to read like an advertisement or fail our neutrality policy. Wikipedia is not a place for advertising, and advertisements are deleted. See Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Sentences like "The vision of American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to provide the top-quality university education for the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to enable trained specialists to develop new entrepreneurships, to reduce unemployment rate, and place Bosnia and Herzegovina in the position of a sustainable economy, equally involved in the world market." have no place in a neutral encyclopedia article. A decent encyclopedia article should also provide sources for everything presented that are independent of the subject. There should exist some articles by others (newspapers?) about the founding of the school and the deal with SUNY that could be cited, which could be used to write a neutral and verifiable article.
