Support for your edit on Paris, Texas

[edit]

Someone is reverting your edit on the film page for Paris, Texas. This film is about incidents pertaining to this City and not a road picture. Support for Edderiofer and his useful note. CodexJustin (talk) 17:20, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Caught by an open proxy block but this host or IP is not an open proxy. My IP address is 118.140.145.196. While I do occasionally use a VPN (SurfShark), this IP address is my default, un-VPN'd IP address; to the best of my knowledge, this is not an open proxy. That IP address is a confirmed proxy. Yamla (talk) 10:01, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decode these arcane symbols at once

[edit]

Alright, Fancy Pants, you've got yourself some explaining to do.

This revision you made to the Castling article contains the following text:

insert Siegfried Hornecker h#3 here, FEN is 4k2b/7P/8/5K2/8/8/8/8, fairy condition is Koko. Die Schwalbe PDB P1204776

Now, if you could just tell me what "Die Schwalbe PDB P1204776" means, that would be lovely. Thank you for your consideration. ISaveNewspapers (talk) 03:03, 8 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The example in question has already been added to the article. "Die Schwalbe PDB P1204776" refers to entry P1204776 in the Die Schwalbe Database (https://pdb.dieschwalbe.de/P1204776). Edderiofer (talk) 17:12, 9 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sjöberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Seaborg. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your draft article, Draft:$100 Theme

[edit]

Hello, Edderiofer. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "$100 Theme".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 19:20, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The einstein problem

[edit]

Hi Edderiofer. I reverted your change to einstein problem, but I thought I’d unpack a bit why here; I’m not just trying to step on your toes. First, the new paper hasn’t yet been peer reviewed or broadly accepted by the community yet (it just came out), though it looks promising. Second, the other problem you changed the sentence to mention is discussed here in a tweet, which, even if it is from an expert, doesn’t seem like a "reliable source" by Wikipedia's standard.

Once the current paper has been more widely checked, I expect we can change the language of the article to stop describing the problem as unsolved.

If the second problem (one tile shape not allowing reflections) was mentioned in the paper (I didn't hunt for it) or you have another reliable source, it could probably be mentioned in a new sentence (or section). But I don’t think it should replace the first problem. –jacobolus (t) 09:02, 26 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
