I recently requested a topic for an article (a notable law firm), and I was wondering if there were any additional steps I need to take in order for the article to be created. I was also wondering how long I can expect before a page is created. Thank you.

Unfortunately, WP:Requested articles is a very slow process. At least one request on the Law page, Chambers and Partners has been there since March of 2012, and there could well be others that are even older.
