Yellow-bellied Prinia
[edit]Seems like the photo is fine, but the server generating thumbnails is misbehaving. I have put it back but the photograph value would be enhanced if you included the location where it was photographed. You may be interested in WP:BIRD. Good luck. Shyamal (talk) 11:02, 3 April 2011 (UTC)
Seeking help on dealing with advt/spammers
[edit]This help request has been answered. If you need more help, you can , contact the responding user(s) directly on their user talk page, or consider visiting the Teahouse. |
I noticed that on page Pachmarhi, someone has been inserting advt/spam text with names of some hotels and a phone number. Various editors have been reverting/removing the text but the spammer keeps adding it back from what seems shared IPs. Reading Wikipedia help pages gives me impression that requesting to block IP address may not be appropriate for this behaviour (and even for when its appropriate, cant figure out how to request it). Can someone help me to understand how best to deal with this/similar cases? I dont think continue to revert the change endless number of time is feasible.
- As it's IPs, I've protected the page - very new and unregistered editors cannot edit for a week. Let me know if the trouble goes on later. (If I'm away, try at WP:RFPP.) Even with spam, you are wise to watch out for the WP:3RR rule. Peridon (talk) 15:08, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
