The part about Sid Miller voting for a state income tax is incorrect. The Texas Constution forbids the legislature from passing into law a bill that would establish a state income tax. A state income tax would have to be added to the ballot of the constitutional election and passed by the voters. No attempt to add the ballot language has ever been attempted while Sid Miller served in office. There has never been a vote on a state income tax while Sid Miller served as an elected office for the state of Texas.
