Edit warring

The ironic thing is, after lecturing about edit warring you are in fact inappropriately removing my text from the page when I do not wish it. Can you defend this on the basis of any policies or guidelines? WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:^simple/_complex 00:50, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Acupuncture, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Others' comments on your own talk page

Note that per the final bullet of WP:TPO you are permitted to remove others' comments from your talk page (selective editing and deletion is still prohibited, and archiving is preferred). However, as it says - this is taken as evidence that you have in fact read the point in question. For instance, deleting this post means it is expected that you now understand the applicability and necessity of reliable sources on talk pages. Should you decide to remove this post, it will be assumed that you understand edit warring and improper removal of another's talk page comments (incidentally - you don't get to remove them if only that editor replaces them, in general there's no reason to remove another's comment so long as it's not a personal attack or otherwise inappropriate).

This raises a meta-point. You frequently invoke policies, guidelines and essays such as edit warring [1], assuming good faith [2], trolling and page ownership [3]. Before invoking them, I suggest you read them. I have not edit warred on acupuncture, so please do not accuse me of this. I am not a troll. I have not exerted page ownership. Accusing me of these things is quite a demonstration of bad faith. Claiming that because I am active on the talk page, support my posts with frequent references to policies, guidelines and sources, I am owning a page, disrupting the process and trolling is another clear assumption of bad faith as well as an obvious demonstration of your lack of understanding of key policies and guidelines. Please don't link to a policy, guideline or essay unless you have read it, and please don't throw them about casually.
