Recent album cover image
[edit](A continuation of User talk:E tac/Archive 1#Recent album cover images) Please read the link to policy that I mentioned, Wikipedia:Image description page#Fair use rationale. A detailed fair use rationale is required and they give examples of what is needed. This is different then just saying this is X album by Y artist and here is tag Z. All you really need to do is copy/paste one their examples in all instances on album covers you have uploaded. If we don't, as the page says, "Images that do not include both a fair use tag and a detailed fair use rationale will be deleted!" Again, if you have further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 03:09, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I am just giving you a heads up. This is something that should be added by the uploader at the time they upload the image. I didn't want to muddy up any of these images with useless tags if you would kindly follow our policy. Thanks! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 03:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Why are you being resistant about this. I will make sure to go through the Metallica album covers now that you mention it. Just, please, read the above policy and use one of their examples on the album cover images you have uploaded. This has been mentioned to you before to at User talk:E tac/Archive 1#Images 2. Thanks! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 03:26, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I understand what you mean. Just click on this -> Wikipedia:Image description page#Fair use rationale. It describes it right there and gives you the example right there where it says "CD album cover art". -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 03:30, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

edit summary
[edit]This edit summary: joke or mistake? — coelacan — 05:50, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry is fine. Nobody's nice all the time. You shouldn't have to retype things when you have an edit conflict, by the way. It sort of explains it at Help:Edit conflict, but there's a second window on the edit conflict page, if you scroll down, that has all of what you typed in it. You should be able to just cut and paste that. And some browsers (most maybe) will still have your previous input if you click the back button. — coelacan — 06:34, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Judas Priest
[edit]I feel the inclusion of that link is inappropriate considering their news article of the 18th December 2006 which says;
Official Judas Priest News
18th December 2006
It has come to our attention that someone is trying to falsely impersonate Glenn Tipton on a Myspace site. Please note that this site is totally unauthorised, unofficial and not legitimate and absolutely nothing at all to do with Glenn Tipton or Judas Priest. The only official sites relating to Glenn Tipton and Judas Priest are JudasPriest.com and GlennTipton.co.uk

- How can you misread the "The only official sites relating to Glenn Tipton and Judas Priest are JudasPriest.com and GlennTipton.co.uk" bit? Besides which Myspace stuff is not appropriate on wiki - Except for a link to a page that is the subject of the article or an official page of the article subject—and not prohibited by restrictions on linking—one should avoid:10 Links to social networking sites (such as MySpace), discussion forums or USENET.. Please stop adding it.--Alf melmac 06:05, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- And as if that isn't enough, your next edit after re-inserting the link is to use images that require Fair Use criteria in a place where no such criteria can be met. Please take some time to read the policy pages on External Links and Fair Use images.--Alf melmac 06:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
AFD Decisions
[edit]Hey there, I saw that you wrote "i am copying what i have seen on other articles that have had the same result" in one of your edit summaries. Can you please point me to those articles so they can be fixed? Thanks! -- moe.RON Let's talk | done 19:44, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
Your warning to me
[edit]I am well aware of that rule. You have already violated WP:NPA in one of your edits and I am not going to let you abuse the system. This is not a debatable issue. Wikipedia is not the place to speculate about what might happen. Professional sports drafts, presidential election, new years days are examples of future events that can be discussed. A person who MAY or MAY NOT make a pitching debut does not qualify. Leave the information out until it happens. //Tecmobowl 04:34, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
I am neither stupid nor interested in continuing any further communications with you. Read up on wiki policies and then do a better job of editing. //Tecmobowl

The Longest Day (song)
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article The Longest Day (song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. AfD nomination of The Longest Day (song)
[edit]The Longest Day (song), an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that The Longest Day (song) satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Longest Day (song) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of The Longest Day (song) during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 07:25, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Vick, confused?

Your recent edits
[edit]Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Leashlaw dogface.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Leashlaw dogface.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:49, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Madden nation logo.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Madden nation logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:07, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
This is really simple
[edit]Queen is any Influences on like what two bands. Iron Maiden is any influence on all of Power Metal. If you really so wnat to list Queen then list them on Helloweens page. Queen has no influence on bands such as Nightwish, Edenbirdge, Visions of Atlantis, etc. But hey that's a new one Queen having influence on on all Power Metal bands. --Turemetalfan 23:38, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- If they influenced the first power metal band they indirectly influenced any band influenced by helloween which is pretty much all power metal. --E tac 07:34, 17 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah right sure you can tell your self that next time you might want to see where the different Power Metal bands get there influences from. They don't come from Queen or Helloween. Just a few exmpales Nightwish get there influences from Hans Zimmer and musical scores. Edenbridge get's theres from moives such as Star Trek. Visions of Atlantis get's thereinfluence form Nightwish. Sonata Arctica's lead singer Tony Kakko also has taken things from Nightwish. Your still wrong. I will add one last thing using Blabber mouth as a link site is the wrost one. That is the same site the ran with one false story after another about who the new Nightwish singer was. Oh and then there's Rhapsody of Fire In 1997 Rhapsody of Fire released their debut album, Legendary Tales under the name Rhapsody. Co-founders Luca Turilli and Alex Staropoli created an epic sound with this first album. Rhapsody incorporated classical music, baroque and heavy metal styles in a sub-genre they call "Hollywood metal" or "film score metal" because of its resemblance to movie soundtracks. The classical influences include such composers as Vivaldi, Bach and Paganini. The band shows strong power metal influences, and lyrical content is centered around fantasy themes.

- and all these bands are influenced by power metal which originated with helloween...
Yes just ingore the fact that Nightwish's influence does not come from Helloween or Queen and that it comes from Hans Zimmer. I guess we should list him to. I mean well we are at it let's add in the people that Rhapsody of Firs is influenced by. I mean heck Bach never played power metal but who cares. --69.245.83.180 22:03, 18 October 2007 (UTC)
commentary
[edit]Please don't add commentary to talk pages like you did to Rachel Nichols (reporter). If there is something to be said about the article, then that is fine. But, talk pages are not a place for you to make general comments regarding the subject of the article. Chicken Wing 18:51, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
