List of fatal Champ Car accidents
[edit]Hello Dylan831,
I've noticed you added the remaining teams and all the cars to the List of fatal Champ Car accidents. Within the next few days, I'll add the deaths that ocurred under the American Automobile Association including riding mechanics. If you have the data, you could add the teams/cars belonging to those fatalities as well.
The internal links to Epperly and Lotus should be either removed or replaced by links that do not lead to disambiguation pages i.e., "point directly to the intended articles."
And finally, are you sure the test session in which Bob Criss had a fatal accident was supervised by the United States Auto Club?
I don't think the cited source suggests that that was the case: "'He was not a registered USAC driver,' said Donald Davidson, a USAC spokesman [...] The team apparently had rented the track for a shakedown run."[1]
--Emaster82 (talk) 16:18, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- I have changed the Lotus and Epperly team to Quin Epperly and Team Lotus. Now, with Bob Criss's crash, my source was from Motorsport Memorial which states "Rookie Bob Criss entered for the Phoenix 150, the first round of the 1973 USAC National Championship - a race originally scheduled for 12 and 13 March 1973. Heavy rains in the region caused the postponement of the event to 31 March, so Criss rented the track for a series of private tests." The newspaper states that he wasn't a registered USAC driver. I put it there because it was supposed to be part of the USAC Championship race at Phoenix. However, it does say that he rented the track out. So, should I put that it was a private test?

- The fact that it was a private test is mentioned under "Event" and weighing the information available to us I'd rather leave the "Sanction" column empty for Criss to err on the side of caution. I have no strong opinion on this, though. Bobby Marshman and Tony Renna are similar cases while the test run that cost Marshall Teague his life was definitely under USAC-supervision.--Emaster82 (talk) 19:27, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
- Now that the AAA fatalities have been included you could add the teams/cars of the drivers and riding mechanics that were killed (including those listed on the talk page) if the details are available to you. I don't think such information is applicable to non-participants, whose deaths cannot necessarily be reduced to single car crashes.--Emaster82 (talk) 20:30, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Linking place names
[edit]Hi, be sure to keep place names in wikilinks as they appear in the article titles, e.g. Milan, Italy and not Milan, Italy. Also, remember that almost all country names should not be wikilinked per WP:OVERLINK. Cheers, Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:08, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
