There's a chance the subject will be notable, possibly as a professor, based on the non-standard obituary in the Boston Globe, but further sources will be required to demonstrate that as the other sources are primary (berklee.edu, the studio he ran) or unreliable (ratemyprofessor). The article as it stands reads like an obituary, which is unacceptable - see WP:MEMORIAL.
