[edit]Thanks for uploading File:On-directing-film-mamet-coverpage.jpg. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}}

Non-free rationale for File:On-directing-film-mamet-david-front-softcover-1991.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:On-directing-film-mamet-david-front-softcover-1991.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 03:03, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

- HI Dutch Taleb. Please provide a non-free use rationale for this file. One way to do this would be to add Template:Non-free use rationale book cover to the "Summary" section of the file's page, but you can write out a rationale in your own words if you want as explained in WP:FUR#Non-template. Looking at your user talk page, it looks as if you've been advised about this type of thing before and that some of the file's you uploaded were speedily deleted. So, if you want to avoid this file also being deleted, please provide the rationale. One thing about non-free files is that a rationale is to be specific to the particular use of the file, and that a separate rationale is needed each time the file is used whether it be in more than one article or more than one time in the same article. The way the file is currently be used is probably OK, but any additional uses may be harder to justify per WP:JUSTONE and WP:NFC#cite_note-3. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask them below or at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- Marchjuly (talk) 14:40, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
