For my suggestions I think it may be beneficial to add the original text in your sandbox along with your draft. This may make the organization a little easier to follow. I think you did a great job of putting neutral content into the draft. When I was back tracking you in-text citations you did a great job on including all peer-reviewed sources. As well as the links easily brought you to the correct source. From looking at your draft it is unclear to me what article you are drafting this edit for. Another, thing you could do is add the links to Wikipedia articles such as, vertebrates and flying squirrels. This would make it easy for the reader to jump to these Wikipedia pages.
