License tagging for Image:Bi-1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Bi-1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:01, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:BI-1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:BI-1.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. [edit]A tag has been placed on Template:User Historian requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.
If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Fair use rationale for File:Gomelavia Logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Gomelavia Logo.gif. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 01:02, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with File:THE HELLACOPTERS - BY THE GRACE OF GOD.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:THE HELLACOPTERS - BY THE GRACE OF GOD.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Help, I don't speak Russian!
[edit]Greetings. I hope you don't my asking if you might be able to help me out a little. I noticed on the Typo Team pledges page that you pledged "to fix any typos, grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and just plain bad English (or Russian) on sight!" I surmise from this that you're fluent in both languages? I am currently attempting to improve the article on Vitas, but I'm finding this difficult because a lot of potential source material is in Russian which I can't read, and in some cases where English language information is available on other websites it is obviously badly translated from other languages. The Vitas article spells Vitas' producer's name Sergey Nickolaevich Poudovkin and also Pudovkin. The English language version of Vitas' website spells it Pudovkin. Is this spelling more correct? I think the Russian spelling is Пудовкин. Also, the title of his current tour is translated on some websites as Sleepless Nights and on others Sleepless Night. Can you tell me which is correct? The Russian version is БЕССОННАЯ НОЧЬ. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 16:03, 6 August 2009 (UTC)
