The article West Midlands bus route 997 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unremarkable bus route

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Aiken 20:13, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is West Midlands bus route 33. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/West Midlands bus route 33. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Premier 993 (National Express West Midlands), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Premier 993 (National Express West Midlands) (2nd nomination). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

West Midlands bus routes 19, 19W and 19X (Coventry)

[edit]

Hi, i have left a message on the talk page of the West Midlands bus routes 19, 19W, 81 and 82 (Current) and former routes 192 and 194 (Coventry), with regard to the moving of the article and the overtly long title,

They go round and round, you know.

[edit]

If you pick the names that the world already uses, and the scopes that it gives, for these things, three things will happen:

  • You won't face accusations of original research.
  • Instead of these things being obscure articles for a niche group of bus enthusiasts, they become important articles in human geography, dealing with the local transport geography of a major conurbation.
  • As a consequence, you can probably rope in the railway article writers, cycling article writers, and human geographers from other WikiProjects to turn the articles from things that people dismiss as "just those bus geeks writing timetables" into what you could probably make, as long as you incorporated all of the human geography aspects, into GA or FA class articles on these various transport corridors.

A tag has been placed on West Midlands Warwick Road Corridor, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi, Dudleybus. In a July/August 2010 policy discussion (at Wikipedia talk:What Wikipedia is not/Archive 34#Does WP:NOTMYSPACE apply to secret pages?), community consensus was that the policy Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not prohibits secret pages. Would you tag for deletion the pages User:Dudleybus/139 and User:Dudleybus/The Secret Page Challenge with {{db-userreq}}? Thank you, Cunard (talk) 04:48, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hansons

[edit]

Do Hansons still have 05 0TC? The Env 300. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.239.111.227 (talk) 18:51, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Its diagrams were took over initially by BV55UPO/URA until MX60BXA was obtained. MX60 now operates the former OTC 226 diagrams. It went in Sept 2010. User:Dudleybus User talk:Dudleybus 08:27, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Stagecoach Midlands

[edit]

Hi Dudleybus, nice article there. Just one thing, doesn't the stuff about branding belong under Stagecoach in Warwickshire and Stagecoach in Northants? Alzarian16 (talk) 12:42, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes and no. Simple reason being that yes because they are 2 separate brands and sub brands, therefore the main article should cover it. However saying that, it should stay as the article talks about the combined company and therefore its sub-brands, although, saying that, I can't find another Stagecoach example. User:Dudleybus User talk:Dudleybus 13:45, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm... on that basis, would it be better to merge the two subarticles into the larger one? They are currently unsourced so it might be a good idea. Alzarian16 (talk) 13:54, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The 2 subarticles represent the 2 (legally) seperate businesses, especially as one is reprasentative of the former Midland Red South, however that could actually work. Currently i'm working on a First Midlands article off-line but without the "sub brands" included as they are part of the constituant companies. User:Dudleybus User talk:Dudleybus 14:01, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First Midlands article done if you want to take a look. User:Dudleybus User talk:Dudleybus 14:16, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I like that. It gets the main points across without becoming cluttered with details. Perhaps a little too much on First Midland Red's history, but I suppose there is quite a lot of it to get across. Something like that for Stagecoach could work well.
While I'm here, I've been meaning to ask you about West Midlands bus route 529. Everything about its history says that there should be loads of sources for it, but I can't find as much as I would expect. Can you help? Alzarian16 (talk) 15:09, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:DiamondSoloinSSlivery.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:DiamondSoloinSSlivery.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:41, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Thanks for uploading those images of the Diamond Buses, as well as the other images, as we are really lacking in photos from the West Midlands and those type of photos are needed. As I think you've noticed, I've moved some of the images to Wikimedia Commons, as they are better over there, mainly because they can be used on all the Wikimedia projects. I have created a user category to group all of your images: Commons:Category:Images by User:Dudleybus from en.wikipedia. If you upload any more images from your Commons account you might want to get it renamed to remove the "from en.Wikipedia" or something. Hope that helps, Arriva436talk/contribs 18:31, 27 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
