Take-Two Interactive List

[edit]

Hey Duc, First of all, I want to thank you for all your edits on the Take-Two Interactive Games page. The reason why some titles from both Gathering of Developers and TDK Mediactive (now known as Take-Two Licensing) were on the list was because Take-Two started gaining money from those titles. Gathering of Developers and TTWO signed a Distribution Deal on May 1998, which led to TTWO buying 20% on April 1999, and the other 80% on May 2000. TTWO started the buying process for TDK Mediactive on September 2003. It started making money of them. Once again, thank you for all your contributions. Hope you could understand why these titles were on the list. Best regards, YouHateThePlayer — Preceding unsigned comment added by YouHateThePlayer (talkcontribs) 15:54, 21 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied text from Game Boy family to WonderSwan (your addition has since been removed). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. If you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:02, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

On your additions to WonderSwan

[edit]

Hello, Duc4Wikmedia, and welcome to Wikipedia! I wanted to talk with you a little bit about your recent additions to WonderSwan and what comprises a reliable source and what does not. A reliable source is one that is published by a reputable publisher or noteworthy person, with a reputation for fact-checking. In other words, in terms of video games, things that would be considered reliable include video game magazines, online websites that are published by reputable publishers (e.g. IGN, which is published by Ziff Davis), or articles by people reputable in the game industry (e.g. Frank Cifaldi, a former writer and editor for 1Up.com). Simply because something is posted on the internet somewhere or on someone's independent website does not make it a reliable source; it could be conceived as a form of original research. Unfortunately, unreliable sources do tend to float around Wikipedia because the standards for sourcing have improved since the encyclopedia began. However, we should not continue to add unreliable sources to add a fact, especially for an article such as WonderSwan which passed a review to become Good Article status, requiring no original research. A great place to find some good reliable sources specifically for video game articles is here, at the WikiProject Video games reliable source list. It's not a be-all, end-all to what is and is not a reliable source, but it can give you some great places to look and certain places you should avoid. Thank you, and enjoy Wikipedia! Hi, can you add more games such as The Simpsons: Bartman Meets Radioactive Man and Virtual Bart on the list, please? It's still far from complete. 137.25.153.185 (talk) 17:27, 15 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Swing Away

[edit]

Hello, Duc4Wikmedia. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Swing Away".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 10:02, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Valhalla Entertainment, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tony Moore (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:36, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, Duc4Wikmedia, does not meet our username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have selected a new username that meets the username policy guidelines, which are summarized below.
Per the username policy, a username should represent an individual and should not: represent a group or organization; be promotional; be misleading (such as indicating possession of special user rights or being a "Bot" account (unless approved for such purposes)); be offensive or otherwise disruptive. However, a username that contains the name of a organization and also identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87" is allowed, though, among others, the guidance on conflict of interest and the policy of paid-contribution disclosure are relevant.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our username policy guidelines and create the account yourself. Alternatively, if you wish for your existing contributions to carry over under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
  1. Adding {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "Email this user" from their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a change of name request.
  3. Your requested new username cannot already be in use. Therefore, please check the list here to see if a name is taken prior to requesting a change of name.
Appeals: If, after reading the guide to appealing blocks you believe you were blocked in error, then you may appeal this block by adding {{unblock|Your reason here}} below this notice. 331dot (talk) 10:18, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your username suggests an affiliation with the Wikimedia Foundation, which is not permitted per the username policy. 331dot (talk) 10:19, 22 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I will remove the block since you arranged for a Rename. 331dot (talk) 08:42, 23 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your edits

[edit]

Many of your edits appear to be copied from or largely based on small news items from Variety, listing things like new vice presidents and such. Most of this information is only of interest to people in the entertainment industry, and only when it happened. While I understand your desire to add information, it should be information that is relevant to a general encyclopedia article. Thanks. Trivialist (talk) 19:25, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Ned & Stacey episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Peter Roth. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Graywalls (talk) 00:09, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
