ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:04, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Master Mike and the Miracle Maid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The short "Kirkus Review" included in this article appears to be the only coverage on this book. All other search results are either listings on sales pages or entries in database-type lists. With only one review, it appears to fail WP:NBOOK.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. File source problem with File:Dotmd.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Dotmd.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Wikipedia isn't a forum, and please stop accusing other editors of ideological motivations

[edit]

I apologize for the cookie-cutter-ish section title – I'm certain you're aware of WP:NOTFORUM, since you've been editing far longer than I have. Still, I felt I should reach out here about your comments at Talk:Irreversible Damage. I'm very glad you started the discussion because I think (and hope) it's moving in a productive direction. That said, comments like this and this aren't constructive additions to the discussion.
I also assume you're aware of WP:AGF, and if you weren't previously aware of WP:ASPERSIONS that you became so after I linked you to it – so please stop making casual accusations of POV editing as you did in the second diff I've linked above. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 18:47, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In light of this comment by you, I feel I should emphasize the above message. (In addition to AGF and ASPERSIONS, I should have linked WP:No personal attacks and WP:CIVIL.) Your accusation that other editor(s) have a bias so strong that they should not participate in an effort to reach NPOV is uncivil behavior that relies on an assumption of bad faith. Please contribute in a civil and constructive manner, or not at all. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 01:28, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
But using terminology like "TERF" and "transphobic dogwhistle" in response to others' comments isn't an attack or incivility or bias or assumption of bad faith? There seem to be some huge double standards going on. *Dan T.* (talk) 02:09, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Neither "TERF" nor "transphobic dogwhistle" were directed at another editor or at another editor's actual comments; they were a response to a pseudo-proposed-version of the disputed text that the proposing editor said they expected major resistance to. So no, not an attack or incivility or bias or assumption of bad faith. Do you understand the difference between that and your comment in response to it, which disparaged a specific editor? ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 02:31, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I notice you created (or edited?) the article on Kids Magazine (1970s). I am curious if you know what the last issue number was. I own 1 - 21 and 23, but don’t know if there was a 24 or above. Trying to collect 22 + any issues above 23. Thanks! Keithgreenfan (talk) 12:17, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You got me to dig them out, for probably the first time in decades... It seems I've currently got four issues, #1, #19, #20, and #22. (I'm sure I had many more issues when I was a kid, but most of them have vanished over the years, as old stuff tends to do.) So it looks like #22 is one of the ones you're interested in... it's a smaller size than the earlier issues; they shrunk the page size then. I don't know bout 24 and higher... I think my subscription ended around then; I remember seeing later issues in the children's section of the library but didn't have them; it probably ceased publication not too long afterward. *Dan T.* (talk) 01:32, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much! It’s so hard to find info on this series. At least I now know 22 is one of the small size issues and that there are likely an issue or two beyond 23. If you’re ever interested in selling #22 on eBay let me know! Thanks again for the info. Keithgreenfan (talk) 14:43, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Collection of CD longboxes.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Collection of CD longboxes.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 12:21, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Political views of J. K.
