[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The Chronicles of Narnia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Please note that continually rechanging the article to your own purposes after multiple editors have reached a consensus against it also violates the 3RR rule, even if you do it by editing rather than using undo. The Chronicles of Narnia
[edit]Despite all appearances to the contrary, it's nice to have new people interested in The Chronicles of Narnia article. However it seems like you have inadvertently provoked some strong reactions from other editors. And judging by recent posts on the talk page it doesn't look like we are currently heading in a positive direction. It seems to me that you are reading wikipedia policies and generally trying to make suggestions and edits in good faith, but have inadvertently started what looks more like a little feud than a constructive discussion. Not the best introduction to Wikipedia, but it's not always like this.
You might want to take a step back. Wikipedia doesn't work well when people respond immediately. It seems to work better with a little time between posts for other people to catchup, to think arguments through and (sometimes) cool off. I understand the desire to respond right away, but in my experience we work better around here when we're not so anxious to work in real time. Please understand that I am not accusing you of doing anything wrong. Just offering a suggestion. I agree with some of your suggestions for the article, and look forward to working with you into the future. I hope your initial exposure to editing wikipedia has not left a sour taste in your mouth. The people with whom you are arguing are reasonable people. It just seems like everyone is caught up in a tit-for-tat type of response now. LloydSommerer (talk) 15:24, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
