Carnival Dream Image

[edit]

Why did you remove the image for the carnival dream render? If you actually read the description, and the talk page, you would have known that I knew it was the wrong rationale for use. It's a render of a ship. The closest thing wikipedia listed was a building. I asked for someone to modify the tag to fit what was appropriate. The image most definitely qualifies for fair use. You're quite the unhelpful administrator. (Drumz0rz (talk) 03:37, 9 October 2008 (UTC))[reply]

While I'm happy to answer questions, it looks like your question could have been answered and resolved more quickly if you had used my message wizard. It's linked as "Talk" after my name and at the top of my talk page. Why not try it next time?
Please specify the exact name of the image that you are referring to. I have deleted quite a number of images recently and cannot find this one. Please also remember to be civil. Stifle (talk) 08:05, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of tallest buildings in New York City

[edit]

Hey Drumz0rz, I tried recreating the table from List of tallest buildings in New York City on Cornish Wikipedia at Rol a dhrehevyansow an uhella yn Cita Ebron Nowyth. Why is it not showing up the same? How can I rectify this? Thanks! --Caponer (talk) 23:52, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Tables are supposed to automatically align itself to the widest element in the column (width) and in the row (height). The article Rol a dhrehevyansow an uhella yn Cita Ebron Nowyth does just that for the first three cells (the images are wide because there is one where the link was bad, so the text stretched the box). After that, from height on, they're all fixed at the width set in the height column.
I can't quite figure out why that is. Notes doesn't stretch across the page like it does in the article [List_of_tallest_buildings_in_New_York_City List of tallest buildings in New York City] because there are no notes. Try checking to see if there's any formatting mistakes in the items, especially in the height column that might be screwing up the rest of the table. I just made an edit removing the one offending image (it's on the english wikipedia site, not wikimedia commons) so that cleared up that column.
Good luck figuring out the last part. [1] is great for trying to figure this stuff out. Drumz0rz (talk) 02:29, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

reverting consensus on the Empire State Building (again)

[edit]

See Talk:List of tallest buildings in New York City#Empire State Building heights and User talk:Empire1472. User:Empire1472, as the name suggests, has done nothing since appearing on Wikipedia but try to revert the structural height of the Empire State Building back up to 1,472 ft (381 m), without saying anything on talk pages or edit summaries. Last thing I want to do is get involved in disciplinary action or threats (which I'm fortunate to say, I've never suffered or initiated beyond telling administrators about a couple of obvious WP:sock puppets), but I may reluctantly have to increase my familiarity with all those processes. —— Shakescene (talk) 23:31, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your note. Ironically, I've been taking a short (All-Star) break from Wikipedia myself to clear my head and attend to other things. Have a good summer. —— Shakescene (talk) 07:03, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
