Information icon Hello, I'm Ronz. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Matt Chamberlain , but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! --Ronz (talk) 16:26, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Following up on your comment

[edit]

Hi Matt. Thanks for following up with me. It's an extremely frustrating situation to be in. All material in a BLP article needs to be verified with references that are clearly both independent and reliable.

The conflict of interest guideline should give you plenty of details on how to work with other editors on your article. Summarizing, try the following and you should be able to minimize the frustration of needing to work with others to get the article changed:

  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

I've gone ahead and removed the middle name from the article. There are many ways to get others to help as well, if you think it's needed, listed in the welcome message I've added above. --Ronz (talk) 17:14, 16 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mattboomdrum, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Whisperjanes (talk) 20:05, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 02:56, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
