Agnes Varis Bio

[edit]

Hi, I’m writing Agnes Varis Bio based directly as given me by her 3 trustees. This work is in progress and I will add the appropriate references as I go along. Dr. Varis has passed away this weekend and it is imperative for us to have the correct information posted. If any of that needs to be verified I can provide you with the phone numbers of Dr. Varis’s trustees.

Thank you,

Hi. Firstly, you should not be editing this article as you have a conflict of interest if you are indeed in contact with her relatives. You should instead propose your changes on the Talk page and let someone else judge as to whether or not they should be included. Secondly, if you're doing a rewrite, please do so in your own userspace and then, once fully complete, copy this over the article, thereby having no impact on any readers of this page. Nikthestoned 15:20, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarifying that. This is a delicate issue, since her sudden depart, many people are landing on the old unverified bio page of her and are missing or in some cases reading the wrong information posted there. This is all happening right now as we speak. I request your total understanding in this delicate matter. I am the third party in this case and I’m gathering this information from several different reliable real time sources.
Allow me first to finish the editing and I will later add the needed citations – it’ll take me some time to learn it all.
In the meantime it is very important to post the most reliable information as I do so by contacting the sources directly to obtain that.
It's worse that they come along a page with no references whatsoever and a bunch of opinionated text, as it is now. Given you've reverted this again, despite my warnings, I've raised this matter at the BLP noticeboard. If you're gathering this from "real time sources" you should have referenced these, as repeatedly requested. Nikthestoned 15:41, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I understand your concern.

I have requested the help of a senior editor from Tufts University to intervene and clear things up.

I have contacted the person bellow to help in varying this information: Deborah T. Kochevar, DVM, PhD, DACVCP Dean and Henry and Lois Foster Professor Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University 200 Westboro Road North Grafton, MA 01536 TEL: 508.839.5302 EXT. 84700

That is completely irrelevant unless that person is going to edit the Wikipedia article and provide reliable sources for verifiability. Please stop reverting my changes until you understand this policy and how Wikipedia works. Stop making your change without understanding these policies, failure to comply will most likely get you blocked. Nikthestoned 16:17, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Agnes Varis. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Your reversions are now constituting vandalism, for all of the reasons provided previously Nikthestoned 16:18, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Agnes Varis, you may be blocked from editing. Nikthestoned 16:23, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agnes Varis has passed away this weekend and most of this so called info is not correct at some and is missing vital info!!

You have no Idea the amount of damage you are causing now.

Soon Wikipedia will be contacted by high level officials from the government and several universities and other institute in regarding to the information posted on her bio.

Please pay the respect to her and let the process evolve to where it should be with all the necessary reference and citations.

I’m taking full responsibility for the information I’m adding and agree to be liable for any damages I might be causing – the information I’m adding is from the most reliable sources and as a reference I’ll include Dean of Tufts as one of them. Also please note that I started adding references to the content – I’m asking again to be patient as will eventually follow all the necessary guidelines.

You are not following any guidelines, you're doing the wrong thing, repeatedly, even though you're being told it's wrong. That's considered vandalism here on Wikipedia and the next time you do so you will be reported to an administrator. Good day Nikthestoned 17:25, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Agnes Varis, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Nikthestoned 17:20, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I’m following the guidelines and adding references.

I have fully protected the page for a day so you and Nik can work this out on the talk page. Please take the opportunity. Daniel Case (talk) 17:34, 1 August 2011 (UTC) Hi, There is no attempt to distribute false statements here. The simple truth is that Dr. Varis was an extreme influential individual and her death came as surprise to many people and organizations that she was involved with, among are the white house, the metropolitan opera, tufts university and many others. The opening statement on her page is misleading and does not describe her as it should. The white house, mainstream newspapers and other media are about to use this incomplete information to describe her greatness as her death become wide spread.[reply]

I started adding references as you can see to secure the source of my information. We are going to add her real bio page on the Tufts’s web site and on her company’s one at Agvar. You will soon notice that and if by that time you think I have no clear evidence to what I write, I will accept any verdict by you. All I asked is a short window of time to allow me to secure my post. My only concern is that people are now reading what is there which is incomplete and somehow misleading

I found the current references pointing to missing pages and I want to correct all that. I have no desire to start any conflicts I just want to correct what is wrong and support evidence to it.--Dror64 (talk) 19:16, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Here is the official Tufts web site with Agnes Varis’s bio that I posted, the same one that I'm trying to correct in here: http://www.tufts.edu/vet/about/avaris.html Please check and verify my integrity --Dror64 (talk) 19:32, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

OK. You might also want to take a look at our sourcing and article guidelines. Not everything in those other pages is necessarily something we need to include here. And remember, we can only use that as a source for text we have to write ourselves. Your edits simply copied and pasted text from the Tufts page ... we don't allow that, as the link will explain.

Perhaps you could tell us what would be worth including, and what the specific errors in the existing article are? (You can open up to view the source and copy it while it's protected). Daniel Case (talk) 20:03, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dror64. You have new messages at Nikthestoned's talk page. --20:31, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your understanding, I had no other choice but to ask the Dean of Tufts University to post the bio I was trying to ad to Wikipedia today. What is now posted there is a copy for the additions I made here.

I was in the process of adding reliable references to what I was posting but was shut down by Nick each time I was making an attempt. All I asked is time to finish the post with all citations and reference that is needed. I had no choice but to edit it in real time due to the nature of the events.

Dr. Varis death draw an immediate attention to the Wikipedia site and people were and still reading incomplete and misleading information. In one point the white house wanted to use the material posted here for their press release but is now directed to the official Tufts’s web site.

Our president Mr. Obama, was also informed of her passing and this was and still is a major concern if her Bio here is incomplete and needs to be corrected.

Please advise what is the best way to continue as the learning curve for proper posting on Wiki may take more time that we have right now.

Thank you again --Dror64 (talk) 20:49, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To Nikthestoned:

The Damage has been done, thanks to you! Time was an essence yesterday and a lot of people were looking at the wrong information. Sometimes we need to use our emotional intellectual sense and move beyond the stubborn nerdy personality which you were blessed with. All you had to do is wait and verify the references I was adding, but you didn’t bother to, instead you were sticking like a nerd to the dry rules and enforcing them like you have nothing else to do in your life. Here, go and watch this reference on yesterday from the Senate so you can maybe now realize that I was not joking with you on the severity of the need to update this immediately. http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/SenateSessionPart269 Go to hour 5:52:47 and see the three speeches. I was told that people are going to Wikipedia to read about her and this is when I decided to take this project to verify and update the information about Dr. Varis. --Dror64 (talk) 14:37, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Dror64. You have new messages at Nikthestoned's talk page. --14:44, 2 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Case

I need your help. Agnes Varis bio needs to be updated, please watch the video reference from the Senate and find that the information I was adding has a solid ground evidence. Also the fact that the Dean of Tufts offered her help and posted a copy from the Wiki bio I was adding/correcting. Now you know that every word I add has a solid reference. I will do my best to follow the guidelines but please make sure Nikthestoned will reframe from blocking me just to serve his own ego. The nature of Wikipedia is to serve has a tool of sharing information not blocking it. Right now we are blocking it on the Agnes Varis bio page.
