Rainbow Boys
[edit]I think much of your excellent contributions should be moved to a separate Rainbow Boys article. -Acjelen 16:20, 11 September 2005 (UTC)
Speedy deletion
[edit]I noticed that you tagged the page Amy Sonnie for speedy deletion with the reason "Subject of Article Has Requested its removal". However, "Subject of Article Has Requested its removal" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the article to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 00:18, 11 May 2006 (UTC)
If you'd like to propose that List of Native American writers be moved to a more inclusive title so that non-US writers can be included, I'd be all in favour of that, but as long as it remains at the present title it cannot include Canadian First Nations writers. I recognize that many in the US use "Native American" as an umbrella term for all indigenous peoples in North and South America, but outside of the United States that's explicitly rejected because it doesn't make enough of a distinction between "of the American continents" and "of the United States".
Again, I'd be all in favour of a more inclusive alternate title. But please don't add Canadian writers to the list until some kind of title change has taken place. Thanks. Bearcat 23:26, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- Also, when you write up an article on a queer writer, could you please apply the appropriate writers category (Category:Gay writers, Category:Lesbian writers, Category:Bisexual writers, Category:Transgender and transsexual writers, Category:Queer writers) instead of the overly general Category:LGBT literature? Thanks. Bearcat 04:13, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
The category Category:Queer writers, which you originally created, has been nominated for merging into Category:Gay writers. While, per Wikipedia standards, you do not in any way own the category, discussion of the nomination has raised the question of what the category is or was meant to be about. The discussion may be found at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 June 9, if you should wish to shed any light on that point. Your input may be valuable.
I am interested in preserving the independent existence of this category, both now and in the future. To do so, it seems to me important to produce a worthwhile category description and a set of criteria for inclusion. Even if you do not wish to participate in the disussion on the call for merge, I would value your thoughts as the original creator of the category. For example, why did you feel this category was valuable, and what did you hope to achieve by it? --7Kim 20:59, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Barbara Means Adams
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Barbara Means Adams, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Oo7565 05:17, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Driskil3! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 156 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
