Suggestions from An Li
[edit](1) should start making figures, will save you a lot of time later. Upload image to Wiki Commons (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard) Then link the image to the article. (2) The Geology section is under developed, the section could be divided into several sub-sections, like structural geology, petrology, geochronology and so on. A comparison of this greenstone belt to other greenstone belts might be a good discussion. How similar or different of this GSB to others? (3) A new section about future research direction. (4) A generalized of schematic geologic map of the area is helpful. (5) Miss some references, e.g. age estimation and interpretations part, where are those numbers from. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Geologyanli (talk • contribs) 15:23, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Suggestions from Chang
[edit]In the history and geography section, I think a map with the site marked and some highlight of this belt will be more clearer than giving out the coordinates. I suggest to put a map here and some tectonic evolution information. Try Geoapp or google map. it is free and give a map with good quality.
In the geology section, I suggest to use more pictures combing with the words on this part, showing different minerals and the banded formation. It would be better to insert a straitigraphy figure to indicate the geological history too.
In the first implication, this is a good part and makes the whole topic meaningful. Does this have a reference? I think some simple data should be put here to make it better. Other sites with the similar belt should also be mentioned here. This will be more convincing that it could represent a global scale paleoenvironment.
The second implication, that is an interesting part. I think more detail information could be added about the formation from geochemical and geomicrobiological view, like what kind of bacteria, sulfate reducing or iron reducing?
- Actually Google maps copyright is not compatible with Wikipedia, so don't derive your map off that. However you can base maps off openstreetmap or NASA images, or other maps on Wikimedia commons. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:55, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
