Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Andres De Abreu, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 20:00, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your message at my talk page

[edit]

Thank you for the help it really means a lot! We wanted to ask you a question. Someone edited the page and our follow up edit was a mistake. We are trying to input the original image that was there before the edit. It is from the teams official website, with the team roster and individual pictures. We have all the necessary copyright permissions, which were originally imputed and accepted before the image itself was erased by the upload which posed the violation. Could you possible help or recommend a solution? Thank you! DrewJordanRosenhaus (talk) 00:07, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If the image is from the team's website, it is not yours to give away. If the team's website clearly states that it is under a free license (Creative Commons or public domain), then it can be re-uploaded. If the website does not clearly state that, somebody from the team would have to contact (by email) Wikimedia Commons to document that they are donating the image. —C.Fred (talk) 00:36, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Orphan

[edit]

Please see WP:ORPHAN, that will explain what they are all about. You removed the maintenance tag from Andres De Abreu, but the "What links here" menu in tools section still shows no articles linking to it, meaning it's still an orphan. You have to establish links in other articles directing to Andres De Abreu article, not links in the text of Andres De Abreu. Cmr08 (talk) 00:57, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Apparent conflict of interest

[edit]

Since you took the newly-uploaded image of Andres De Abreu during a 2013 workout, may we assume that you have a conflict of interest with the subject? —C.Fred (talk) 03:00, 26 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It was not a workout. It was one of the last preseason trainings under the former coach Miguel Mesa. New Management signed a new coach and practices were not open to public. It was one of the only images at our disposal and was not uploaded since we were waiting to attain all the necessary copyright material you asked of the previous image. We don't think the image is consistent with the typical Wikipedia format so it was never our intention to publish. However after today's deletion it said that you can re-upload media under certain conditions. We are waiting to try and do everything corectly, but you have no time to verify the authenticity of the previous copyright claims.

We don't have any connection to this individual. You must remember that this organization has been receiving a lot of attention since late 2013 when the Miami MLS Bid and David Beckham got into the picture. This individual was one of the few who kept a contract after Vincenzo Cipolliti bought a majority stake in the team, fired then coach Miguel Messa and hired a new and much more close-door-policy coach in Ferdinando De Matthaeis who then released most players and imported many Europeans. Practices open to the public where often full of people most of who are hoping to see Beckham which has attended their team practices on multiple occasions.
