Hi. You wrote me about the Jennifer Crescente AFD as listed on the discussion page of WP:NOTNEWS and requested that I change it from 'killed by her boyfriend' to 'killed by her "former" boyfriend.' The added word would make it more accurate, so I made the change. Anyone can edit an article or discussion page, and I do not "own" either one, so you could also add a comment after mine to correct or expand it, and put four tildes ~~~~ after your comment to automatically identify it. . But I left off the quotes around "former" because that would imply that somehow he wasn't her former boyfriend, and make it look like perhaps he really was still her boyfriend, which by all accounts is not true. Quotes around a word often are used to imply irony or denial. Would that we lived in a world where tragedies like this innocent girl's murder didn't happen. Thanks. • If you want something to be in italics, put two single quotes before and after it like ''this'' which appears as this. For bold, type it like '''this''' and it will appear as this. Edison 17:48, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your feedback about my coment on JzG's page. I doubt we're the only ones who feel that way. David in DC 21:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC) [reply]

WP/ANI report

[edit]

I have responded to your accusations of abuse at WP:ANI. It would have been really nice if you had bothered to try to resolve these issues with me personally before you drug this all out to WP:ANI. It would have been nice if you had bothered to inform me that you had lodged a complaint against me, instead of leaving me to randomly stumble over it. But it's there now, and I have responded there. - TexasAndroid 17:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To your point, "it would have been really nice if you had bothered" to check the article and compared it to the userfied version prior to your speedy delete. In DRV not one editor agreed with you regarding your unilateral decision.
In reviewing the history on your talk page I am not comfortable posting comments on there. You have been accused of bias in the removal of some articles and comments. You've also deleted many comments from your talk page from editors that have found fault with your actions. I am more comfortable discussing this in a public venue and will copy this conversation there. Drew30319 17:51, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On Jennifer Ann Crecente Article

[edit]

I don't have any higher editing experience really. I would use this infobox

Drew30319/Archive Jul 2007

It is just the standard biography infobox. Sorry we don't actually have an info box particularly for crime victims. If you would like to join our project pleas feel free to we could use some one that focuses on victims not just criminals.

I also see that you are having some trouble with the admins trying to delete your article. I think since it inspired a law named after her, that it is not just a memorial. See Megan's Law and Megan Kanka.

If you have any more questions just send me a message. Thanks, Jmm6f488 17:10, 13 July 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Re: Jennifer Ann Crecente - AfD result: Keep

[edit]

Thanks for the note of thanks for my clean-up of the close. :-) To clarify my comment, I thought the close could have gone either way, but since the close was somewhat unusual I thought I would bring up that fact. I personally observe a smaller no consensus margin when one of the stated options of a discussion is merge; because with a merge, no information is actually lost from history. added infobox to article

[edit]

You had contacted me earlier on how to make this article better. I added an infobox, you might want to check it to make sure the info I added is correct. I have to say I read up on her and what happened just broke my heart. Did you know her? Jmm6f488 04:07, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
