Re: Vandalism
[edit]First off, welcome to Wikipedia! Be sure to check out Wikipedia:Five pillars, Wikipedia:Community Portal, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines, and Wikipedia:Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. You may find them useful if you ever plan on becoming active on Wikipedia. Until then, don't worry about rules, just try to be constructive and polite and before you know it you'll be in good standing.
In any case, thank you for your concerns about the list I added to the article. The list was collaborated upon by myself and a couple other people who got into a dispute over the list. In any case, could you elaborate on what you mean by "scrap", "vandalism", and "trash"? The list is derived from reliable publications which I have cited. —Signed, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 19:33, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
- First off, consider the definition of vandalism: any addition, removal, or change of content made in a deliberate attempt to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia. Your claims of vandalism are unfounded, as I did not deliberately try to harm Wikipedia. Furthermore, these were the best of my resources; if you could find more recent information from an equally reliable source, then you are welcome to point me in my direction or better yet use them to fix the article yourself. —Signed, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 10:40, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- These were the most authoritative resources at my disposal. If you can find more recent sources that are just as authoritative, then I would like to see them. In any case, I will see if I can find more recent information in a subscription database I now have access to that I didn't then. I didn't like having to quote very old work, but it was the best thing I could find (there was nothing else that ensured credibility). —Signed, your friendly neighborhood MessedRocker. 19:49, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.(diff: [1])--Yankees76 21:39, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Request for usurpation
[edit]Hello, Drecker. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.
If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.
If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).
If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.
If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.
Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.
Thank you for your time. 213.108.163.154 (talk) 10:05, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
