Removing my edits

Hey Dreaded,

I'm still new to Wikipedia, but I was wondering why you removed my two edits to the Robotech pages liking to the Robotech font? I see on that page there is a link to MobyGames game page about the game so why were my changes removed?

Just wondering thanks

Hi Chris. I removed your links from the Robotech: Invasion and Robotech: The New Generation articles because they seemed promotional (see WP:LINKSPAM). In addition, according to our external links policy (and our video game external links guidelines), "If the page contains substantial information that is relevant but not necessarily encyclopedic in nature, a video game's page at MobyGames or the Internet Movie Database may be added on a case by case basis". In this case, you'd probably have a point that a link to the MobyGames page on Robotech: Invasion ([1]) probably doesn't meet that guideline either. I just don't feel it adds too much value to the page, you know? I imagine that the links were removed from the other two articles [2] [3] for a similar reason.
