Speedy deletion nomination of James Dorso (Ruffingham Meadow) WMA
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on James Dorso (Ruffingham Meadow) WMA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.wcgh.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Get-up-and-Go-5-2014.pdf. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:45, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
Copyright problem on Steve Powell (Swan Island) WMA
[edit]Almost all of the content you included in the above article was copied from http://www.stateparks.com/swan_island.html. The source web page is clearly marked at the bottom as "© 2017 StateParks.com", which means that we are not allowed to copy their material and insert it into our articles. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the law to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. There's more information about copyrights and how it applies to Wikipedia at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Copyright law and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. Please let me know on my talk page if you have any questions. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:48, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm NinjaRobotPirate. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Brady Bluhm, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 10:04, 6 December 2021 (UTC)
September 2022
[edit]Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to David Boreanaz. Not sure why you deleted a sourced birthdate and replaced it with an unsourced one? DonIago (talk) 20:21, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
