[edit]Hi there! Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed a recent edit to Florence and the Machine discography does not have an edit summary. This reminder is in reference to the edit you made prior to my reversion. I notice you utilized the edit summary in your last edit there. Please remember to do so with every edit you make, as the above comments state.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list and
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 17:49, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- But, Winkelvi, it did have an edit summary. It said "See Billboard 200". -- DragonBall207 (talk) 17:54, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- As stated in the comments above, A recent edit at the article did not have an edit summary; your last edit did have an edit summary. This is a reminder with reasoning as to why utilization of edit summaries is important. -- WV ● ✉ ✓ 17:58, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
