user page
[edit]It is felt that the article you created at Valley swat pakistan by Dr salim khan Dherai is not suitable for a Wikipedia article. I have moved it to User:Dr salim khan. Reasons:
- the title was ridiculous
- it was far too personal in content
- we already have an article Swat (Pakistan).
Please feel free to contribute to the existing article and anywhere else in Wikipedia. -- RHaworth 12:18, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Additional userpage comments
[edit]I see from above that you have added non-encyclopedic biographical information to a vanity article on the English Wikipedia, Mohammad salim khan. I have placed this content on your userpage and deleted the article for those reasons. Please don't recreate this article. (aeropagitica) 11:47, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Editing Wikipedia
[edit]Hello!
I've just noticed that you changed the page Wikipedia:Verifiability by adding the following text:
- saidu group of teaching hospital was intially built by the ruller of swat known as wali swat. later on when pakistan came in to being some construction took place in the hospital.
Wikipedia welcomes your enthusiasm to contribute to the encyclopedia. However, the page on which you wrote that contains some rules about writing articles, and is an unsuitable place to add what you wrote. Would you like to learn more about how to edit articles on Wikipedia? Perhaps you may find Wikipedia:Introduction, Wikipedia:Tutorial and Wikipedia:How to edit a page useful. These pages teach the basics of editing the encyclopedia. As you are getting used to editing the encyclopedia, it may be a good idea to use this page, which we call a sandbox, to test your edits to see how they look before trying to edit an article page. I read on your User page that you're interested in making contributions to an article on a place called Swat. We have an article on that place, which you can see here: Swat (Pakistan). Perhaps you would like to read it and see if you can improve it? Feel free to do so. There are two very important rules to remember when writing anything in Wikipedia articles: Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Verifiability. I encourage you to read them as you learn how to better edit the encyclopedia.
As you're starting out on making contributions to articles on Wikipedia, it may be a good idea to discuss your ideas first with more experienced Wikipedians, by posting on the article's discussion page (every page on Wikipedia has a discussion page, sometimes called a "Talk page", which you can access by clicking on the "discussion" tab located at the top). Most Wikipedians will be glad to help you. You may also get help with any questions you may have at Wikipedia:Help desk. Have fun! —Encephalon 11:53, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
