Megatron and Optimus Prime from Michael Bay films

[edit]

If you plan to move a major character page like that, please propose it on their talk page and let people have some input first. There are many people who maintain these pages who might have something to add, or other ideas. Thanks. Mathewignash (talk) 12:01, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I just mentioned in on the ROTF talk page, hoping we get some feedback. Mathewignash (talk) 14:05, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting moves

[edit]

Consider Wikipedia:Requested moves. Otherwise, see Template:Move. Also, please remember to post new comments at the bottom of talk pages. Putting them in the middle is confusing and unclear. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 03:41, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Paramount) forks

[edit]

I have reverted your creation of various Transformers ____ (Paramount) forks. First of all, copy-and-pasting page content is an inappropriate way to fork a page, because it loses the content's edit history. More importantly, though: the current character articles are utter failures of WP:RS, WP:PLOT and WP:WAF. Yes, they're long -- but, the solution is to cut back on plot, trivia, and in-universe minutiae, rather than forking out separate articles. Beyond that: such bold changes should be preceded by a talk-page discussion at the relevant WikiProject, which you did not initiate. --EEMIV (talk) 00:08, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually, I did. See Talk:Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The anonymous IP is me, since I wasn't logged in at the time. I see your point, and so if people agree on the articles being re-created, then the appropriate templates should be put on the pages to initiate cleanup. Speaking of which, the G1 character articles seem to suffer from the same problems, but to an even greater degree.--Eh! Steve (talk) 01:07, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bad move

[edit]

The Transformers articles are all under name like NAME (Transformers), not NAME (The Transformers), so your move just screwed it all up. Also, you should suggest a move first! Please do so. Mathewignash (talk) 13:22, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Transformers character articles

[edit]

Hi. It appears that we have some common ground of these character articles. Currently as it stands I feel that the only notable transformer is the original animated Optimus Prime due to his death traumatizing a nation of kids. And original Megatron a close second for the current marketing problems. I tried to make drastic changes to Megatron and Starscream's articles, but Mathewignash kept stonewalling my attempts. So I began working on the Megatron as I saw fit per the guidelines that listed in project within my sandbox as seen here. I ask for Mathewignash for his thoughts on my progress as it appeared that they were the only functioning member of the project at the time, but they ignored messages. So would you be interested in offering any ideas suggestions for that and the Optimus articles? Sarujo (talk) 00:14, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Sovon ponds postor.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:12, 12 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of dragons, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Altaria and Peng (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as User:Eh! Steve/Ride a cock horse, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Giratina

[edit]

I would suggest draftifying Giratina, because it's very likely going to be nominated for deletion, and would likely succeed. Certain sources, such as the Bob's Burgers one, would be viewed as largely trivial. Additionally, a lot of the reception section is taking very brief commentary or asides about Giratina, which would likely harshly impact its ability to stay in the mainspace. - Cukie Gherkin (talk) 18:03, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Are you on the wikipedia discord by the way? I realize there's an odd question, but it can be helpful to build character articles and bounce ideas off folks off what may and may not work with a lot of what's already established.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 18:19, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
