While Dr. Carter is the Laboratory Director for IDENTIGENE, a DNA Paternity Testing company, this does not present a conflict of interest, since no mention of IDENTIGENE is made in the article. Also, the article contains information that is true of ALL paternity testing, regardless of the lab performing it. We often direct people to Wikipedia to help them understand the science behind DNA relationship testing and found that information on the calculation of the Paternity Index is a piece that is missing on wikipedia.
