Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Prehistory of Sri Lanka, as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Mayalld (talk) 15:32, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Prehistory of Sri Lanka. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. Also, please respect the previous request, NOT to tag substantial changes as minor Mayalld (talk) 15:37, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Image:Ibankatuwa Prehistoric burial site Discovered near Dhambulla.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[Talk:Image:Ibankatuwa Prehistoric burial site Discovered near Dhambulla.JPG|the article's talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ walkie-talkie | tool box 20:27, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Synovitis

[edit]

I have removed the section on Synovitis that you have added. Wikipedia's core policy on verifiability requires that all information added to articles have proper sources. We cannot accept material that is added from personal knowledge, no matter how well informed you are about the subject. An encyclopedia summarizes knowledge from published sources, it does not allow original research. Thanks for understanding, Gwernol 17:27, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

February 2008

[edit]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Rheumatoid arthritis. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Gwernol 18:08, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Rheumatoid arthritis, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Gwernol 18:15, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article List of hospitals in Sri Lanka, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 20:01, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason why there shouldn't be a List of hospitals in Sri Lanka but it needs to be more comprehensive and sourced - see eg. List of hospitals in Singapore and adapt it. -- roundhouse0 (talk) 16:24, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rheumatoid arthritis

[edit]

Thanks for your work on the rheumatoid arthritis article. The article is presently not in the best of shapes, and your expertise is appreciated. I have taken the liberty of moving your new addition to a place where it would make more sense.

Medical articles on Wikipedia are being assessed by WP:MED, the medical "WikiProject", and we have a set of guidelines on the way medical pages are organised. These are available on WP:MEDMOS (manual of style). I see that you are relying on good sources already, but our sources guideline is at WP:MEDRS.

Let me know if you need a hand. JFW | T@lk 17:15, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Concerning your most recent contribution, could you try to avoid medical jargon as much as possible? The casual reader trying to understand his aunt's RA will simply not grok the relevance of the carotid intima media thickness. Furthermore, I'd really appreciate if you indicated which references supported your contributions. There are some very good studies on RA, but it is on you to cite those studies. Category:List of hospitals in Sri Lanka

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. Categories are not articles. Creating a category to circumvent the deletion of an article is simply not the correct way to address the problem. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:07, 15 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
