Howdy!

[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, Dr. Pizza, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

Thanks for the help on the Dreams So Real article. I've used some of the images you've uploaded on the album articles, because I couldn't find good ones, so thanks. Perhaps you have tracklistings for Father's House and Nocturnal Omissions around? A quick note, though, if you upload album covers, be sure to tag them with {{albumcover}} so they don't get deleted. Also, keep album covers on album pages, because using them in the main article may be a fair use violation. Good luck! --badlydrawnjeff talk 22:16, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:P03881wh137.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Notability vs. importance

[edit]

No one's suggesting that you're not important. Notability standards on Wikipedia are there for your protection as well as for the betterment of the site. Without proper attribution, we have no way of verifying if biographical data is true, a situation that both compromises the site and has the potential for libelling people. Your article was marked for speedy deletion because, in my estimation, it clearly has no chance of gaining attribution, unless you do something in the future that does gain attention from reputable media sources (in the meantime, Wikipedia is not a crystal ball). This is one of the core tenets of wikipedia. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the 5 pillars of Wikipedia, and happy editing. Feeeshboy 07:10, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Dreamssoreal.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dreamssoreal.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:44, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Copyrighted pictures with out Fair use rationale

[edit]

dear Dr. Pizza
I take the liberty to asnwer the question you posted on BetaCommands user page. Your images has been tagged by a bot because they are tagged to be images with copyright. A bot does not have the ability to delete images from wikipedia, only an administrator does. The tags mean that your images wil go through a review by an administrator to see if there is Fair use explantion on the page.
This means you need to go the page and ad a fair use rationale to the pictures. Please do not remove the notice posted by the bot, the reviewing admin will do it.
Please see this picture Image:BizarreRideIIthePharcyde.jpg for an album cover with proper fair use rationale. You can besides the fair use rationale also add the following text.
This images was uploaded by Dr. Pizza (Talkpage), for questions about this image please go to my talk page.
I hope this answers your questiosn, and beware this reply is not endorsed by BetaCommand, or anybody else.
Best regards and happy edinting. Mads Angelbo Talk / Contribs 11:40, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dr. Pizza,

Regarding the commentary you left on my User page. It appears you have mis-interpreted my edit comment. At the time, I actually thought you were a member of the band (After re-reading your edit comment just now, I see that is not the case). So, my point was that everyone needs to follow the wikipedia guidelines about only including encyclopedic content - even if the subject of the article is the editor. By no means did I mean to suggest that you were a "nobody" as you stated.

If you reply, please do so on my talk page at User talk:Roswell native rather than my User page as you did previously, and please sign your comments. I am going to move your previous statement to my talk page as well.

Finally, please remember Wikipedia:Civility is a policy (a widely accepted standard that all users should follow). I assumed good faith in your edit; however, I did think it was non-encyclopedic and didn't belong in the article so I removed it. I meant no ill-will towards you and hope you continue to improve the band's article with the Wikipedia content guidelines in mind. Regards. --Roswell native (talk) 00:19, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lawsuits?

[edit]

At least one of my online associates has been victimized byt ED & has threatened legal action. These guys posted up nude photos of him & his art without his permission. They also say slanderous untrue things about web selebrities. There's no way this place hasn't been under a constant barage of legal action like Pirate Bay.

I waould also suggest replacing "satirical" with "Troll." These guys are just as bad as the lowlifes from 4Chan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.17.118.100 (talk) 23:25, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

ED is ran by "Channers". It's the same crowed. In any case, we aren't going to use internet slang in describing a website. The website is accurately described as satirical. ---J.S (T/C/WRE) 01:53, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I seriously want to take them to court for the damages they have done to me. Does anyone know what i can do to do something about this?--Dr. Pizza (talk) 10:23, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't this to do with EDiots saying bad things about your cat, or something? - Alison 10:35, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My free advice (bearing in mind that I am not a lawyer) is to get over it. Little good ever came out of web-related lawsuits, and you could waste a load of money.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:58, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Is getting banned infinitely from Encyclopedia Dramatica a part of your legal strategy? If anything, your ED vandalism has only made things worse. I recommend that you simply ignore them. Legal action will just cause more stress for you in the long run. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 04:17, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed your speedy delete tag from this article as we have an article on the artist (Tiffany (singer)) and so was ineligible for a A9 speedy. The WP:CSD#A9 clearly states that it applies only to articles "where the artist's article does not exist". Please be more careful with your tagging in future. As the single is clearly not notable I've redirected the page. Dpmuk (talk) 13:22, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Winnipeg NHL Team

[edit]

Under what criteria did you speedy delete the article Winnipeg NHL Team. This deletion was executed without prior notification, discussion, or opportunity to challenge such deletion. I have read Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion, but I cannot find any criteria that allows an administrator to unilaterally speedy delete a well-referenced article about a subject which meets the General notability guidelines. Dolovis (talk) 13:34, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note: The below reply by Dr. Pizza, place on Dolovis' talk page here has been moved to Dr. Pizza's talk page where the discussion was started:
I don't know how major Wikipedia edits work, but I knew in general that there is no Winnipeg team yet. Thats all. It wasn't anything against you. :) But If it wasn't me, someone else would have. I've just see your edit to Cinderella (sports), I don't think the section on the LA Kings was removed because they weren't believed to be a "Cinderella" team. I think it was removed as part of a generally trimming of the article. The article only lists examples of "Cinderella" teams, given the somewhat subjective nature of what constitutes a "Cinderella" team an encyclopaedia can never hope to lists all "Cinderella" teams. There was an excessive number of teams listed, so a decision was made to cut the number of teams down to 1 or 2 teams, and remove the rest. The decision was taken to remove teams/paragraphs that did not have multiple independant sources citing the team as a "Cinderella" team. There's no an ongoing effort to stop new teams being added unless the references would support replacing an exist team. Rehnn83 Talk 10:11, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. I've reverted your edit of adding Minnesota North Stars to the list of examples on Cinderella (sports). This items on this list are only examples. Due to the subjective nature of the topic, it can't possibly cover every case of a potential Cinderella team and there are already a number of Ice Hockey examples listed.
