Information icon Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Danny porush. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. The article Danny Porush has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. JMHamo (talk) 11:59, 9 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Dporush1. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Danny Porush, you may have a conflict of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. CactusWriter (talk) 21:44, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Danny Porush

[edit]

Dporush1, numerous messages have been left for you about conflict of interest and other problems concerning your edits to Danny Porush. These have included the unexplained removal of sourced information, the addition of unsourced text and persistent edit warring. Please note that you have been previously advised not to edit articles about yourself. (It is assumed that you are this individual.) Please note that you are advised to refrain from editing the article directly and to provide full disclosure of the connection if you comment about the article on talk pages or in other discussions. Of course, if there is a serious error or the article is factually inaccurate than it should be corrected, and there are a number of actions that you can take to do so: send an email to WP:OTRS, Wikipedia's volunteer response team; or ask for help on WP:BLPN, our noticeboard for articles about living persons; or use the talk page of the article in question. In any case, it is expected that you communicate and discuss the article rather than make non-neutral point-of-view edits. Please feel free to ask questions when you require help. Regards.
