Dear Download,
I have edited a few car-related articles on Wikipedia and added some useful details that were not covered by original authors. I am an automotive mechanic and expert, currently working as a technical writer, I thought it would be a positive contribution for other car enthusiasts and Wiki users who explore automotive mechanics.
The sources I referred to are located in Technical Article section of a car/truck specialized website www.carid.com. This website does sell car parts, however it also has a strong knowledge base section where car experts publish informational articles that are based on their own researches.
The articles I referred to contain unique reliable technical information, data and measurements that are recognized by other professionals in this field. A lot of details in the articles were never covered or generalized by other internet resources at all, so I thought it would be fair to refer to it from the wiki pages that I've edited.
My main intention of editing Wikipedia pages was just to share the information that was not covered before and extend the knowledge base of the Wikipedia itself.
I realize that the links that I referred to were not accepted with enthusiasm. The rules are rules, and I want to apologize for my controversial actions.
A question to You, if I may: since the links to the website that I added when I've been editing the wikipedia articles were removed, would I need to remove the text that I've created? Because now it has no references.
I am new here, and I've already started to research on the information about rules and terms of being a Wikipedia editor. I am strongly willing to proceed working in this direction and share my knowledge in the future. I will refer to other reliable resources except for that site in my new articles and edits.
Thanks for your reply in advance. Sincerely, Matthew Grabli — Preceding unsigned comment added by MattGrabli (talk • contribs) 16:19, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
