Speedy deletion nomination of Iron Collusion
[edit]A tag has been placed on Iron Collusion, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Red Shore Redemption
[edit]A tag has been placed on Red Shore Redemption requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Reconsider! 09:18, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
The article Red Shore Redemption has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:MUSIC. Possible hoax, no google results.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Reconsider! 01:30, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Red Shore Redemption explanation
[edit]Hi--please have a look at the note I left on the article's talk page. Just existing is not enough to have an article--the band has to be notable. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:07, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
August 2010
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Red Shore Redemption, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:08, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Red Shore Redemption. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Qwyrxian (talk) 09:13, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Please Stop
[edit]I can't tell what exactly you're trying to do, but you're not only messing around with the deletion templates, but your moving pages, changing long standing redirects, etc. Hold on. Take a break for a minute. Why don't you try explaining here what exactly it is you want, then we can determine if doing that meets the policies and guidelines Wikipedia has established. You can reply here, I'm watching this patch. Qwyrxian (talk) 10:05, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
The article Doug Williams (guitarist) has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:03, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, before you panic, please read the message I left on the (renamed) article's talk page. All you have to do, for the moment, is find at least one reliable source to verify Doug Williams. You're going to need to show that Doug Williams meets either the general notability requirements or the specific requirements for a musician. Please ask me if you have any questions.
