- Sorry, was commenting on something. Unsure where to put that comment... ~EdBoy[c] 01:08, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sometimes people put general comments and questions under "Discussion," but above "support." Chick Bowen 01:10, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- I shifted it down above rob's comment. ~EdBoy[c] 01:12, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Stop adding speedy delete templates to user box templates
[edit]Stop adding speedy delete templates to user box templates. The introduction of this sd template is causing all pages with these user boxes to come up for speedy delete. It's possible this is a mistake on your part, but if you continue doing this I will consider it vandalism and will block you. --Alabamaboy 20:39, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Based on your history here, it's obvious this isn't vandalism. But please don't drop that sd template onto pages like that until we can figure out why this is happening. If this is the normally what happens, my sincere apology for causing you any grief. I just want to make sure user pages are accidentally deleted by an admin who isn't paying attention. Best, --Alabamaboy 20:48, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- They are userboxes put up for G6 because all their current transclusions have been fixed to the migrated box. I put them up for G6 (housekeeping) because they were done being used and thus should be removed. ~EdBoy[c] 20:59, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- I totally understand. I wasn't passing judgement on the speedy delete for the template, only on what was happening to the user pages. If you want to bring them back up for a speedy, put the speedy delete template inside <noinclude>TEMPLATE HERE</noinclude> tags, which means that it is not transcluded or substituted into articles that contain that template (or page). That means you should paste <noinclude>{{db|reason}}</noinclude> onto those pages. Best, --Alabamaboy 22:07, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the point was that the tags I was making weren't transcluded anymore, so I didn't put the noinclude on. I just used Twinkle to put them in. ~EdBoy[c] 22:09, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- The problem was that they were still linked to by a number of user pages and that not using the noinclude on them brought all those user pages up for speedy deletion.--Alabamaboy 01:42, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh. In that case, they weren't deleted and that's bad. ~EdBoy[c] 02:34, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

My RfA
[edit]Hi Eugene. I'd like to thank you for your support of my RfA. It was closed at surprising 75/0/0, so I'm an admin now. MaxSem 22:21, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. :) ~EdBoy[c] 22:48, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for participating in either of my unsuccessful requests for adminship. Although the experience was frustrating, it showed me some mistakes I was making, and I hope to learn from those mistakes.
Please take a few minutes to read User:YechielMan/Other stuff/RFA review and advise me how to proceed. Best regards. YechielMan 21:31, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
