Welcome!

[edit]

Hi, Doschadleus. Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Our intro page contains a lot of helpful material for new users—please check it out! If you need help, visit Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. —innotata 19:52, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Helpsome. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Helpsome (talk) 09:38, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Helpsome (talk) 09:42, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Helpsome (talk) 09:43, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Stop icon This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. Weaver Watch

[edit]

Not sure you'll see this, but anyway: Thank you for adding the Weaver Watch links; I'm glad I know about this great site now! However, it seems you were promoting the site excessively when you have a connection to it—why you were were warned about spamming and temporarily blocked. For future reference, it's best if you have a connection to a site to bring up a useful site on the talk pages of articles, or at a project like WikiProject Birds, so that others can add it. I've been adding some of them (the useful ones) back. It's also good to respond to what people post here. Anyway, once your block expires (or you request its removal and admins agree), you're naturally welcome to edit Wikipedia constructively, and I hope you enjoy doing so. —innotata 18:11, 5 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
