Nice graph

[edit]

Hi Dorre, I find your graph File:Australia cycling to work helmet laws.JPG very good and clear. I thing it could be further enhanced if the top label would read "helmet law enforced after 1991". Also, maybe the vertical lines could be simply grey, so that do not affect the legibility of the timeline. You think you could improve it along these lines? cheers, --ELEKHHT 01:21, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Helmets

[edit]

I think you and I are going to have some clashes about the helmet stuff. I'm also pretty sure that you have a conflict of interest and really, really should try confining yourself to the talk page. - Sitush (talk) 11:38, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Let us not confuse strong opinions with conflict of interest. Practically everyone who is sufficiently well-informed to edit this page usefully has a strong opinion. But rather few have even a tenuous conflict of interest and I don't think that Dorre is one of them. Richard Keatinge (talk) 15:26, 4 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If Dorre is the author of various studies in this contentious area then, yes, they have a conflict of interest. Especially if those studies are cited. - Sitush (talk) 23:13, 10 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A potential conflict of interest, to be sure, but an actual one? Rather a strong statement. From WP:COI: "When advancing outside interests is more important to an editor than advancing the aims of Wikipedia, that editor stands in a conflict of interest." To my observation this definition doesn't apply to Dorre. Richard Keatinge (talk) 08:40, 11 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
