Speedy deletion nomination of Unlawful Interception
[edit]A tag has been placed on Unlawful Interception, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Moreover, please add more verifiable sources, not only 3rd party sources. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. TheLongTone (talk) 12:02, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Invitation to wikiFeed
[edit]Hi Doors5678,
I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.
For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at wikifeedcc@gmail.com. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Disambiguation link notification for January 1
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited OpenWrt, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Software package (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:25, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
The article Linux System Administrator's Guide has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:23, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
Redirect of Network traffic control
[edit]Back in December last, you deleted the contents of this (mostly rubbish) page and made it a re-direct to Scheduling (computing). Well, I have, sort of, reverted the replacement of this page, and made a start on improving it a bit.
This is simply because network traffic control is clearly an entirely different kettle of fish to scheduling, and the uses and algorithms employed are quite different. It now, mostly, points at the two types of traffic control, policing and shaping, and says little else. However, it's a bit more than disambiguation, as both are relevant, not one or t'other.
I've put the above on the talk page for network traffic control as well.
What I don't know is, as it stands, whether it still needs references to provenance its notability? That shouldn't be a problem - Tanenbaum, at least, must mention it. However, I haven't time at the mo. to do more.
BTW, I've a few pages that need links to this (and to network traffic management, which is probably a much larger work than this page needs to be). I'll be adding these as and when I can. Graham.Fountain | Talk 14:08, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
