Your user name
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. I do not want to be rude, but I wanted to contact you because there is some concern over your user name, particularly that it may be a violation of Wikipedia's username policy in that it might offend some other folks because of its religious connotations. Particularly the use of "TheBig" Jesus. In any event, would you comment on the meaning behind your name and perhaps explain why you chose it, as well as let us know whether you'd consider changing it? Please respond here or on my talk page. Thank you in advance. Into The Fray T/C 17:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
I request that the user name "TheBigJesus" not be considered for revision at this time. It was my nickname in college (I am very religious) and I would rather keep. No harm or offense meant.
- Thank you for your response. Please be aware, though, that there are those who feel that it could be construed as offensive because it in some way promotes Christianity over other religions or, more in some way demeans Jesus Christ. I am going to open a discussion here and you may feel free to comment there as well. Please do not take this as a sign that I find your user name particularly offensive, merely that there is a good faith concern over it stated by another user. No need to make a stir. I'm happy to change it.
- Probably for the best, because there's a likelihood that some folks would find it offensive. Please see the guidelines for changing usernames and that will take you through the process. I appreciate your flexibilty. Also, as you get used to the format here, just a couple tips. First, please sign your talk statements with four tildes like so: ~~~~. Also, there's no need to create a new header for every talk post that you make, you can simply indent your response with a colon like I have done here and above. Again, welcome to Wikipedia. I'm going to post a Welcome message for you here. Please don't hestitate to contact me if you have any questions. Into The Fray T/C 18:50, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Doncamero! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 211 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
