User talk:Donald Trung/List of Chinese cash coins by inscription
Notes and comments
[edit]This is a page for some general notes about the list, as I can't seem to find sources about certain aspects of the list (or more likely find sources that contradict each other) I will post them here, any feedback from passersby's would be appreciated. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:08, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
Said or Sayyid? How do I even write this?
[edit]When I created this list:
Obverse inscription (Romanised) |
Reverse inscription (Romanised) |
Sultan | Mint | Years of production | Image |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
(Sayyid Ghazi Rashidin Khan) |
(Zarb dar al-Sultanat Kuqa) |
Rashidin Khan Khoja | Kucha | 1864–1865 | |
(Sayyid Ghazi Rashidin Khan) |
(Zarb dar al-Sultanat Kuqa) |
Rashidin Khan Khoja | Kucha | 1865–1867 | |
(Sayyid Ghazi Rashidin Khan) |
(Zarb dar al-Sultanat Aqsu) |
Rashidin Khan Khoja | Aksu | 1864–1867 |
I added the Arabic inscriptions using a transliteration machine that converts Latin script into Arabic script, however Arabic script is one of the few scripts (outside of South Asia) that I can't read, and I found contradicting sources regarding the romanisation of these cash coins. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:11, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
Taiwan
[edit]David Hartill gives two (2) contradicting dates of when the Yongli Tongbao cash coins for Taiwan were manufactured. --Donald Trung (talk) 17:13, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
