Peer Review for Noble v. Union River Logging R. Co.

[edit]

Below is the peer review our group (Reading Railroad Company v. Pennsylvania (1872)) completed for your group:

Lead

[edit]

The header section summarizes the history of the Union River Logging Company. To improve the lead, the group could add information about Noble, the plaintiff. The introduction sentence should include the name of the court case, the date it was decided, and a few words on the issue it covered.

Content

[edit]

The content has some typos and grammatical errors. Additionally, we wonder if the first date listed is supposed to be 1882 instead of 1982. The reference says the case was from 1893, 11 years after, so we believe clarification can be provided.

Tone and Balance

[edit]

The tone is neutral and no biases favor the Union River Logging Company.

Sources and References

[edit]

One primary source is included for the article case. It comes from a credible law website that many Wikipedians use to cite court cases. The link is active and will be beneficial to use when more content is added.

Organization

[edit]

A header section is included to summarize the article and it appears that they plan to have a body paragraph for the content. This is a good start to the organization. If the backgrounds for both the plaintiff and defendant are relevant to the article, they could have separate body paragraphs. An additional body paragraph can also address how the case relates to law (a subject from class), to show its significance.

Images and Media

[edit]

No images and media are included. They can consider adding the Supreme Court case template. It would also be visually appealing to add some pictures of the Union River Logging Company.

Overall Impressions

[edit]

We believe that they have a good start with the Noble v. Union River Logging R. Co case. The reference they used is from a reliable source and is currently active. We think more content can allow us to review more in depth. Noname5280 (talk) 06:22, 28 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
