The article Coffee for Two has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- As written, this clearly fails WP:GNG requirements for inclusion on Wikipedia.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article The Genuine Article (comics) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No matter how well-loved Carl Barks is, I don't believe that every single-page story he has ever written and drawn is notable. I don't see an obvious redirect target, but feel free to redirect if that is preferable.

Removing AfD template
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Coffee for Two. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot I NotifyOnline 15:24, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, but this is important why?
[edit]I came across The True Test.
Generally to be an article on the Wiki, you need to demonstrate that the topic is somehow notable. That might be a nebulous concept, but things like joining the NFL or being written about in a foreign newspaper are generally signs that someone thinks the topic is worth mentioning. The simple existence of something is not enough to demonstrate this. The house next to you, for instance, certainly exists, but that doesn't mean there should be a wiki article about it.
So I'm trying to understand if The True Test meets any sort of that definition. It exists, certainly. But anything more than that? Is it particularly noteworthy? Did it win any awards? Is it mentioned in any sort of well known book on the topic? Anything like that?
Maury Markowitz (talk) 20:42, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
- If the house next door was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, then the house is notable because Wright was notable. The comic book story under question was written and drawn by Carl Barks, a notable and very famous comics artist. The story is notable because its author is notable. See WP:NBOOKS.
Doduf (talk) 02:10, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, nothing you mentioned there is correct. Notability is not inherited (here for instance). The article is not about Carl Barks, it's about this particular comic. You need to demonstrated that this particular comic is notable. 3rd party references to this comic will establish it, nothing else will. Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:25, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
This is the wrong place for this, please weight in at: [1] Maury Markowitz (talk) 19:42, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

- Sorry about that, I accidentally clicked the wrong tag for the image, it does indeed have a fair use rationale so I removed the section from your talkpage (check the history), it's just that no pages use the image. Cheers, James086Talk 04:28, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited George W. Decker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page William Self (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
