[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Whitefield, Bangalore. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.  Abhishek  Talk 05:44, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

font size

[edit]

Wiki images are shown resized in max 600px by 800px in the file page, like this File:Namma Metro Phase 1 line map.png. If you can increase font size of station names so that names are directly visible in above linked file then users need not click again to zoom that image to read station names. Saved theirs (talk) 05:48, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

From User:Doc.aneesh
I received a message from you, what exactly should I do?? increase the font size??
Doc.aneesh (talk) 07:56, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, if it is easy for you. Increase font size of all station names so that it will become readable in the above link without opening full resolution of the file. Saved theirs (talk) 08:26, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Saved theirs, I have updated the image... Doc.aneesh (talk) 11:05, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that! Now station names are readable in this page File:Namma Metro Phase 1 line map.png directly without need to expand it further. Hope it didn't take much of your effort. Cheers! Saved theirs (talk) 03:53, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not really... Thanks... :)

Supporting Indian Wikipedia Program resource distribution

[edit]

In 2017 - 2018, the Wikimedia Foundation and Google working in close coordination with the Centre for Internet and Society (CIS), Wikimedia India chapter (WMIN) and user groups will pilot a program encouraging Wikipedia communities to create locally relevant and high-quality content in Indian languages. This program (Code name: Project Tiger) will:

(a) Support active and experienced Wikipedia editors through the donation of laptops and stipends for internet access and
(b) Sponsor a language-based contest that aims to address existing Wikipedia content gaps.

The objective of the program is to provide laptops and internet stipends for existing editors who need support to contribute more actively. 50 basic model Acer Chromebooks and Internet stipends for 100 contributors are available for distribution. Provided resources are the sole property of the beneficiaries and should be used for the betterment of the movement.

If you're an active Wikimedian, and interested to receive support from this project, please apply. It will take around 10 minutes of your time, and will ask descriptive questions about your contribution to Indic Wikimedia projects.
